Dear members, I have created a "BanglaCricket" Whatsapp Group for Champions Trophy.

Feel free to Join. PM me, will add to the Group.

Those that are going to the stadium please do join in, would be cool to see pictures from ground, any players they get to meet, live experience and messaging from ground.

It's the first time this has been done, the BC Whatsapp Group. Hopefully it will be fun and enjoyable. Do PM me - Thanks

Current status:

Couple of members from FB list accepted to join, few of them are very close to some players.

Some of them are cricket fanatic, others want to join - but on screening their profile, decided against it.

Hoping some BC members will join the group.

does the group only has BC members? I am skeptical to join if there are people outside of BC.

Mainly from BC, with some exception (especially those that have close links with BD players)

But I will not add more than 10 members outside BC.

I am screening their profile carefully and trying to get all sort.

Angry posters, than a group to calm them down, another group to always remain positive, needs a good balance.

Let's see how many established BC members we can get.

But the security is too tight, if Allah accepts it, than IA can find a way..

It's hard to avoid sylhetis in UK, more than 90% of Bangladeshi are Sylheti.

Most cricket clubs etc are run by Sylhetis, so the link is justified.

Breaking News: Nadim Al Hasan, Bengali Imrul Pagol Kayes and brother Wakidul has requested to join the BanglaCricket Whatsapp Group! Inshallah we will get more members from BC! Brother Wakidul will go to 4 out of the 5 matches here in U.K., with 30 odd people, hopefully we get to see some good pictures from the ground and he, along with others going can share their experience! So far from BC three people have been added to my excel list - I will add all of them to group togerther

Anyone can do that. But it's hard to screen people profile. To know what kind of posters they are, do they genuinely follow BC cricket? Are they just trolls? Like pretending to be Bangladeshis etc? Be sure that I am screening most people profile while adding them, and most in BanglaCricket are proper Bangladeshi fans and have some good knowledge of cricket. I am not interested in randomly adding people just for the numbers.

Would be interested in joining a FB group page for BC. Watsapp notifications are extremely annoying and I am already a part of many family and friend-related groups.

BanglaCricket Twitter and FB is inactive for long time, not sure about it. I want the focus of this thread to be on BC Whatsapp Group. Any other suggestion, please open relevant thread. Thanks.

Does it mean that there will be pop-up messages every time a wicket falls, a boundary is hit or a catch is dropped while I try to watch a game on my phone? FYI, I never used whatsapp...
