Match Thread: 2nd Test: Bangladesh v England at Dhaka Oct 28-Nov 1, 2016 (10:00 local | 04:00 GMT | 00:00 EDT | 23:00 CDT -1d | 21:00 PDT -1d)
Bangladesh has nothing to lose....Go for the kill
Despite some errors, Bangladesh played brilliantly in the 1st test. Let's keep on working to make dream a reality. Let's beat the English in their own game.
Let the good sportsmanship continue...

Same pitch please. Switch Mullah and Momin for R/L combo.
Bring in Soumya. His medium pace can't be any worse than Rabbi. And at least he can hold on to a bat.
Tamim
Imrul
Riyad
Momin
Mushy
Shakib
Sabbir
Soumya
Miraz
Taijul
Shafiul

Safiul can't bowl, bat, field. No, no for test. Has no penetrations in his bowling. AlAmin has to come back in. Get Taskin in too. Stop worrying too much, he's a fit young lad. How come Fizz debuted in test when fizz was yunger the Taskin? Whats the logic and superstition behind Taskin not making test yet?

Time to Move On.
After a 14 months break from Test Cricket lot of us expected us to be scratchy and indeed we were scratchy and yet we were competitive.
I believe if we can learn from mistakes and apply our selves than our opponents won’t be competitive against us.
But we won’t reach that day in one day. Day by Day we need to prove we are learning and we are making less mistakes.
Let’s start it here. Let’s try to apply our lessons from the mistakes (starting from team selection all the way up to the last ball), let’s make less mistakes, let be competitive again. Let’s try to square the series.

Makes sense. The pitch in Dhaka has a different kind of soil.

I'll probably bring in Sahid for Shafiul and play Mosaddek ahead of Rabbi. Our pacers are useless

the best we can use is the pitch used in 2nd ODI where it held up and our spinners had some spin.
as far as i remember the used pitch 5 for 1st odi, pitch 3 for 2nd Odi and pitch 7 was taken extra care of during those two matches.....
so i belive the test will be played on pitch 7 unless minds are changed.
so it will be on a different strip than the 1st and 2nd Odi.
and yes they cannot make a huge change in pitch in a short time

4) Mominul
5) Mushfique
6) Shakib
7) Shabbir
8) Soumya / Mosaddek
9) Miraz
10) Taijul
11) Rubel

Who wants to bet with me that we won't be able to take 20 wks in this test?..as much as we want the same pitch I don't think its possible to make this kind of pitch in Mirpur stadium's clay

Well i think BCB will try at least given how the ctg test went. I hope we wont go for a flat road hoping for a draw now.

Mosaddek yes, Sarkar, oh hell no. I would play Mosaddek at no. 4 because he is a good player of spin, not so much against pace.

Please no flat pitches. Can't take a draw when we are 1-0 behind. We should go for the win otherwise no need to play test cricket. I would bring Mosaddek for Rabbi and Shuvashish for Shafiul.

Remember the 1st Test Match against Zimbabwe in 2014? That's the kinda pitch I want. I know it might be suicidal but hey it also gives England an option to implode...

I'm hoping this series ends on a positive note...
It was very ugly during the ODI series...
Good to see the spirit of cricket is very much alive in Test Cricket.

I am expecting at least a 50+ Innings from these Players:
Kayes, Rahim, Mominul, Riyad, Shakib...Top 6 batsmen. They better deliver. You can't always rely on Tamim to bail you out. It's very natural that some of his innings will be a hit and some will be a miss. They should go with the mindset of scoring a century, so that at least if you reach for the stars at least you may end up in the clouds.

Dropping Shafiul and Rabbi is a wise decision. Chosing Mosadek is not a bad option. Instead of Rabbi its got to be Al Amin or Rubel.

Meaning taking no seamers.... i can see where you are coming from, but a seamer might be required depending on the situation.
But alas we dont have any seamer atm ready for test cricket apart from Al Amin who has fallen in ill favour with the selectors. Rubel could be useful but he didnt seem fit from the ODI series

That is SUCH a religious thread opener. But knowing what little I know of you, you are probably the only person I will accept this from.
On topic: They should debut a pacer, that's for sure. If they are not giving Al Amin or Shahid their chances, then they have to try others. But not Rabbi. Rabbi was not threatening and his sole wicket was a lucky one.
They brought Suvashish in, they should bring one more fresher with speed.
