I've been hearing of the ongoing nepotism and politicizing by the VC the last several years from friends. This is definitely not a plolitical issue. Only a literal handful are for the VC. If this were an anti-government issue, then the government have bigger worries as that would been 99% are against it. This is just a movement to save the country's premier institution. As an alumni and ex-faculty, I am proud of BUET and extend my full support for this movement.

It is really sad to see things that happened during this BAL tenure.
They have managed to destroy the public educational institutions and now it is our last hope, BUET, also into this fiasco.

BUET is one of the leading educational institution in bangladesh. It saddens me to see that even Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology go through this....

Amader deshe office/ ghore ekta bises charittrik somossa holo we like to bend or be submissive. Sir , Sir , Sir, is pumped into your ears everyday, from the driver and security downstairs to everyone in an institution's hierarchy, giving a chair person/ Managing director the belief that they are in the absolute power.
Not to mention the cancerous corruption is everywhere on top of that. So, these individual now think that they are the God of this institution, they act more like a leader than a manager/director with responsibilities and someone who rules everything/order everything despite its ethical or not, right/wrong or not.
And this kind of super nutcase "Words of mouth" are uttered.

Today, after a brief interlude, the demonstration resumes full force.
I don't like how the newspapers have been reporting this as "agitation". We are not agitators nor are we agitated. This is a peaceful protest for protecting the greater good.
@Zeeshan: As much as it pains me to say, I'm not an active participant of the demonstration. The guard has been changed. Younger people now protect the sanctity of this illustrious institution.
