ZS needs to get his act together...n rasel needs to show our selectors why it was a dumb idea to leave him out of the asia cup squad...

So far, pretty pathetic performance for A team, specially the lost Twenty20 game. Come on guys, you can do better.

I thought this series could have been a decent chance for Rajin Saleh to score some runs and prove to the selectors that he is one of the top batsmen in Bangladesh cricket, hopefully he sorts himself out and starts batting well soon. Syed Rasel will be using these games to work himself back to full fitness as he looks to regain some confidence, with any luck that troublesome ankle of his won't play up.

Dhiman Ghosh and Naeem Islam are two players to watch though, big wraps on both of them.

IMO, Saleh should consider himself lucky that he got the chance ahead of Tushar. Considering Saleh's past record in England, I am not hoping for anything extraordinary from him in this tour.

Junaid Siddique has an attrocious start to his limited overs career with Rajshahi but he did well in the last two domestic seasons, with 524 runs at an average of 40, and was consequently rewarded with an ODI spot against New Zealand. Definitely premature, and I'm still baffled as to why he was selected in the Tests as he wasn't exactly in the best form when Bangladesh arrived in the country.

I beleive Syed Rasel was left out of the Asia Cup squad because of an ankle injury which had been giving him trouble lately, and this series against Ireland A was a chance to work himself back to full fitness and get a few overs under his belt.

Rajin Saleh is a better batsman than Tushar Imran though, simple as that. Sure he may not be as prolific in England, but you can't select players to tour based on how good they are in a particular country. If that was the case then Ricky Ponting would never go back to India, Muttiah Muralitharan wouldn't get selected to play in Australia etc.

Saleh averages 45.40 for Sylhet, which, as far as I know, is the highest domestic average for any Bangladeshi batsman. There may be a couple who average more, but that will be because they've played only a handful of games.

junaid, imrul and naeem, for me they're the 3 batsmen to watch, dhiman is the keeper to watch and for bowlers it's shuvo, robin and rubel. i already know enough about rasel and saleh.

Forget about Imrul bro. He is a fluke. Another Nazimuddin/Tushar Imran. Thank god the selectors didn't call him up to the National squad after a couple of decent scores in the NCL. But Naeem looks impressive, he should definetely be watched out for.

Do you think any of these cubs need a ticket to national team soon in near future(except Rasel)? This is horrendous.

Our NCL and NPL league also need to be revamped. Can't believe the NCL top scorers are not even scoring in these matches.

This is unbelieveably poor.

What has Rasel done, any Idea?

80/5 33. overs...

we need to get over 70+ runs in the next 17 overs. this is a really tough pitch. at least Imrul and Junaed got starts...

let's hope rajin and dhiman "does a kapali" and the end score gets closer to 180...

If they are struggling against Ireland what will they do when they play South Africa.
