the more they drill then the more accurate they should become and be able to cut out bad balls more often.

Bowling plan is also part of it, where do you want to bowl each ball? And what is it setting the batsmen up for? Building pressure to get a wicket? Tricking them into getting their wicket? You can't just try and bowl a wicket taking delivery every ball because then you are thinking one ball at a time and that doesn't really work for bowlers.

Zimbabwe losing this by a good margin. They lost the match the moment we posted 280+. Then again we fielded a very strong batting unit

I remember even Syed Rasel, Tapash Baisya was better bowler. When our cricket is 5-10 years younger.

At one point Syed Rasel and Mash was good opening bowler partners.

Abul gets a wicket, yeah rasel was really good at one point, then he injured his shoulder and never recovered his career.

Nice to see Abul gradually gaining fitness and practice. A fully fit Abul will further strengthen our side and might be a handful in those bouncy green tops down under. But, he should be handled extremely carefully. Simply cant afford any further injuries. What was the point of sending Taskin to that meaningless "tourney" in India!

Nasir is also finding some form and he is very important to our plan. Shabbir needs to be persisted with. He is a phenomenal talent and comes with the complete package. Haturi da and management should talk to him about his starts and not converting them. Hom is doin good, too. Anamul is in a rut but I am sure he will come out of it.

This Shohid guy seems to be a decent pacer, too. Shubhashish doing so well in the domestic circuit. Why is he not given a few outings? I think Mostafizur or Mehdi the left hand pacers should be gradually brought into the fold, too. Left hand pacers are very important for a bowling attack.

Zim rested Panyangara, Chatara, Chigumbura, and H Masakadza. It was not a full strength Zimbabwe side by any means. This defeat should be demoralizing for them nonetheless.

I really want Zimbabwe to be competitive and I am pretty sure they will bring up their game in ODIs. Remember, they beat AUSTRALIA not 2 months ago they can surely beat us.

As for Afghanistan, I don't think they will be of any competition. Their hacks will crumble against our decent bowlers. They were lucky last time they didn't have to face shakib, mashrafee and all.

Hope the selectors and team management find a way to get Nasir back in to the squad for the 1st ODI. He showed in this match that we do really need him back at #7. It''d be one thing if the likes of Soumya, Shabbir and Shuvagata were lighting it up but the fact is they are not.

Also Abul should be considered as a pace allrounder and can turn in to one of the only genuine pace allrounders we have. He can turn in to a decent player for all forms if we're willing to be patient with him. He's not a hack with the bat like Ziaur, Mukhtar or Reza. He's also got good pace. So if he's back to 100%, he's a guy we should consider

they just lost 0-3 in TEST series and just have one warm-up match to prepare for different format of the game in foreign land and they gave "job well done" rest to they four key players? What they are thinking? trying to hide their key players for the show? Or already gave up the series?

Home team can afford to give key players a rest. But can the struggling team can afford to give rest to one an only warm-up game?

1) This is a long series, both teams need to give their key players break(s) to keep them fresh (noticed how Shakib went out of gas in the last Test?)

2)Warm up matches are more about getting used to foreign conditions. Those four are already well acclimatized. Mangongo needed to give four new ODI specialists in the squad this conditioning opportunity instead.

shukur alhamdulillah

I think Mash should have played this warm up.
And Abul is probably a genuine lower order big shot rather than BC hype Shabbir or Ziahhh.

first ODI is the replay of warmup match. Hope this trend will continue all through the series.

btw Chicumbura should have played twice in the warmup match, not taking off in warmup match. By the time he will warm up, the series will be over.
