Mehrab Jr?

im sure 70 of the bd fans didn't like him to be in the test series against nz team because people thinks he is very slow(better than omar and rajin atleast).......even i din't.....but his got enough talent to be in test team. good job.i wish him best of luck....keep going mehrab and shut our mouth........his frontfoot shot is eye-catching.

haha i dint say nethin bout him without givin him a chance... well he proved all u lot wrong and gave bangladesh a chance.

Mehrab is showing that when he gets a start, he goes on to score a good total. That part is very important. Didn't he score a century in a tour match in Australia? Here is to hoping that the young man goes on and get a well deserved century.

i will be honest....i was against taking mehrab jr. in the team instead of robin! i was proven wrong! i slap myself with my "juta"! but mehrab still shouldn't be brought into ODI squad! he definitely is a good long version batsman! mehrab for test...i hope he finishes tomorrow what he started today!

STOP THIS KIND OF THREAD
He has not yet done anything to deserve this appreciative thread. He has just done his job and lot to prove. You are in moon because of pathetic failure of so called star. I expect nothing from Big Z, Ash (They have secured their ticket to SA by scoring match winning fifty in first ODI), Rajin and Mehrab (because they are crap; one fifty prove nothing). I was expecting from Tamim, Mushy (for me he is our only test specialist), Sakib to perform. I was wrong on two counts. I am happy for Mehrab for proving me wrong; But I would be more than happy (I would put Mehrab as my Avatar) if he could score a century and another 50 in rest innings.

me too. B4 seeing him there was no point comenting about him. But den again lets wait n see him. After 2day he probably has cemented his test place 4 the next 2 tours. Also i am waiting to c how effective he is as a bowler. In an attack consisting of so many all rounder if he can nip a couple out that would go along way 4 staking a claim as an alrounder.

one century and one half century in this test before appreciating Mehrab. If Water boy scores both a century and a 50, Mehrab-e jodi shob korey.... onnora maney all those wonder boys-re korbey ki?

isn't it too much to ask from a crap player like Jr (from your own definition) ? I thought a single 50 from a crapy player should be enough to praise him. Why this biased standard between crapy and non crapy players.... sheita bhujlam na.

Because I have seen how fans react when crap players (read Ash, Alok, Aftab, Tusher) score a century or 50 (to be fair to Aftab, he never scored a century), hundreds of thread opened and they immediately **** on our face. I wonder why Ashfool did not join ICL? May be ICL renegade their proposal. I am always for those players who are hard working and willing to learn and a quick learner than those so called talent. That is the reason I feel sorry for Farhad and Dhiman leaving international cricket than Aftab or SN. I am at the moment not convinced with Mehrab (One swallow does not make summer; check my comment on Super star Z thread after our win), but who knows after the series I would be his fan (I am more elastic; for example I was againest Tamim's inclusion in WC07, but I am happy that he proves me wrong).
I wish Bagh mama show his teeth and throw out the dead wood (aka Ashthefool) immediatly. Put Nafis Iqbal at number four (just like SN, he is far better player of spin than pace)

I hope the dude gets a century. And I hope it is a double century stand.

I know its too much to hope for, especially the second one...them being 61 runs away still...but things like this will do good to BD cricket, and fans.

I hope mehrab grits his teeth and shuts of every thought in his head when he walks out to resume. He needs to be sharp from the get-go and make sure he survives the first 5 overs.

No one is going over board. And its not that mehrab is staying up late to read all this.

Well we need to have some kind of threads to talk about. I see nothing wrong opening a thread about Mehrab to anaylze his pivotal role in the match today and talk about his performance...

mehrab has potential and i like the fact that he gave away few chances... somebody else came up with the point that had it not been for the icl mehrab would have been long gone. At the moment i know who i would have out of the underperforimng nafees, nazimuddin, aftab... and mehrab. If Mehrab can get to 100 it will be the first 100 in quite a long time i think

I did not like Mehrab Jnr in Australia. He is not an ODI player. I confess I called him JO Jnr. He is slow. But I will keep supporting Bangladesh Cricket and if one day a Karim Uddin from somewhere playing for Bangladeesh does anything special I will jump up and down and if he does something stupid I will call him all sorts of name then few days later I will forget about it.......Thats me, what about you

after this match, i am sure that selector will keep him in the ODI and 20/20 and they will ruin his whole career. My opinion, let him play only test and make him a test specialist batsman/all rounder.

other test specialist should be
enam Jr
rajin saleh
Nafis iqbal
sajedul islam

Rajin Saleh is still pure crappola and continues to damage the team by bringing pressure upon himself. Then again, he has limited abilities. He can take his limitations somewhere else and spare us the nausea. Blocking half volleys and full tosses ... throw this gnome off the team, PLEASE!!!
