ATMR bro are you counting T20 crickets too. We have national and A team playing, almost 25 players getting experience. In some sense, these type of cricket is required rather than our subpar league games.

yes. And that early team will beat the current team, almost every time. that's not improvement ? is it? But I might have over stated our aspiration a bit, bcoz I didn't like what he had to say about BD team.

on the topic, I think BD shouldn't go to ICC trophy, just because Aus and NZ is boycotting it. Let six of them play.

Of course they should go its experience at a major touanement, only 2 weeks.
If all the boards say yes to the tournament 5 sides will have player revolts, australia,nz,england, west indies and south africa.
Likely to be C teams from all vboards.
Top players not likely to risk it.
But considering ustralia pulled out in april and things haven't changed,i don't expect australia to go.
Their is a security meeting with the icc in 2 weeks, after that players or boards will pull out because of security information they get from their own governments.
In australia its considered too unsafe to go to pakistan,so we will defitely be out.
I don't think the BCB would knock back an offer to play, and certianly zimbabwe wouldn't since no one wants to play them including bangladesh.

i have to go with dhrubo and brockly here. if we do get a call, i think we should go and play, although i understand the pride issue of not being the original 8 invitees, i accept the fact that we are ranked ninth in the world and only 8 teams get to play, so tough luck - no hard feelings. but i think it's a good serious championship with all these extra ODIs for us it will be good oppurtunity to knock down some of the big teams (let's say they did send their weaker teams!) that we so desperately need. at the end of the day it's always a win is a win! nobody asked anybody not to send their best team! if all these do happen and let's say BD pulled a couple of major wins over a couple of the top ranked teams, i think deep down inside it will work in our favour, mentally we will get that much stronger! it will help in the stats and we can establish that anybody will have to think twice before playing their 2nd line-up against BD!
of course, we can lose all the matches, you never know, most of the time it doesn't matter who we play against, it seems like we mastered the art of playing badly! anyway, like the man said, it's just an idea!

by the way, forgive my cluelessness, what is 7/7?

On a second thought, how much we will get paid if we are invited? Lost 350 grand from the Canadian Quad T20 matches.

Auguest 10 i think the icc security call comes back on pakistan,i would say major nations will make their decision then,so a few weeks.
Dunno if the pcb and bcb been in contact they pretty close these days.
I am sure the icc must have a back up plan if countries pull out.
I agree buhjee if bangladesh gets the call they should take it with both hands,it will be an honour for bangladesh cricket.

It's not too late to postpone the tournament but it's too late to switch to another venue. So as it stands if the tournament doesn't take place in Pakistan it will be postponed. It can be deferred like the Canada Cup even one day before the official start say if a bomb goes off. And it's really funny reading the comments on this thread, since when are we Australia or India? If we are offered with a place in the tournament then BCBr baapo mana korte parbena PCB, BCCI ar ICC ke.

i pesonally think that Alqaeda is a wannabe muslim organization created by US during their contact when Russia invaded Aghanistan and the US gave Afghanistan soldiers weapons and bombarded them with false islamic hope so they side with US...

now ths organization is working hand in hand with CIA so the true message of Islam is "camouflaged".

Allah knows best! what i said is only my conjecture

They should seriously take a look a few months prior to a tournament's start. If a country is at a bad a state as Pakistan is, they really do need to change the venue. This is the ICC's own fault. And now it seems the tournament's going to be a huge loss.

As for Bangladesh accepting any possible offer - I say take it. Some members are going on about "pride" and what not, but what "pride" do we really have? You have to earn your pride by taking up opportunities like this and proving your worth. I doubt we will get a call up because I don't think I've seen something like this happen before in International cricket, but if we do, it should be welcomed with open arms.
