I don't think there is anyone who is young at the moment but Sunzamul Islam should be given a chance. He did quite well in the few ODI matches he got. His only test comes from one of the flattest pitches ever and thus shouldn't really be counted.

Have you ever seen any test side preparing a pitch to the oppositions advantage? India can afford to experiment with a full strength lineup while we are just trying to get half the side get used to international cricket.
Our batting can play against spinners well enough but has problems with pacers and thus I mentioned of using the 2nd match against Zimbabwe to be used for such. And no, Zimbabwe aren't really that big of a threat for us to prepare home team advantage pitches. Also, playing 24 balls isn't really going to be helping the batsmen in getting used to anything.

Too many matches against Zimbabwe. So many, yeah, that it has literally become boring. Maybe we should tour over to Zimbabwe for a change. Matches there have generally been exciting between the sides.
^^Think of this as a prep series for WI next month.
I am actually excited about this series as it may help develop youngsters like Liton and Shanto. Shakib, Tamim, and Mushfiq became what they are now by playing a good number of matches against Zimbabwe in their early days.
BCB XI squad
Soumya Sarkar (capt), Mizanur Rahman, Fazle Mahmud, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Zakir Hossain, Ariful Haque, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Yeasin Arafat, Ebadat Chowdhury, Mohor Sheikh, Nayeem Hasan
Mohor Sheikh named in BCB XI for warm-up match against Zimbabweans

Really good squad.... not a single free bee there ... all has future and to be proven...
Somaya really need to kick on, I think he will be in killing mood and back again...
Rabbi need to score atleast 50 to prove him self
I prefer ariful then Saifuddin, ariful recently scored close to 250... and he can bowl a few ... saif can sleep ... he’s a mowa bowler, every batters like him ... economy close to 10, so ya
Afif is a gone case ??? He was my favorite, but he gotta prove a lot ...
It's crazy how far Bangladesh has come in ODI's over the past couple of years. Winning all 6 games against Zimbabwe and West Indies will result in a mighty 1 point increase! You can understand why some of the players talk about pressure when facing lower ranked teams. Need to get away from that mentality and look to set records in the next couple of series'.

Afif a gone case? He’s only about 19/20 and he’s recently got a ton and an 80 odd not out plus a 7fer in FC cricket...

BCB XI to face Zimbabwe for the practice match: Soumya Sarkar (capt), Mizanur Rahman, Fazle Mahmud, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Zakir Hossain, Ariful Haque, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Yeasin Arafat, Ebadat Chowdhury, Mohor Sheikh, Nayeem Hasan
Mohor Sheikh gets a chance only after 1 FC game (no List A).
"Everyone is eager to play their best cricket in the coming series. Raza is also waiting to perform for the national side again. It is important for us to get him back in the team. He always contributes to the team. It is good to have him in the Zimbabwe set-up." Masakadza said on the first day of their preparation camp in Mirpur ahead of the series.
Sikandar Raza, the ace all-rounder, was initially left out from the squad which announced by Zimbabwe Cricket for the tour of Bangladesh earlier last month due to breaching a code of conduct. He went to play in England without a No Objection Certificate (NOC). He did the same while going to play the inaugural edition of Global T20 Canada, and by doing so, he lost his place in the national side. But, he managed to get back after finding common ground in the meeting with Zimbabwe Cricket.
