Why is Mushfiqur still captain?
Horrible captain. Time and time again. Same mistakes every time. But we are still persisting with him for what reasons? Lack of options? IDC whoever is captain. Anyone can do better job than Mushfiq. The fans deserve to know from BCB about this.

Terrible terrible captaincy from mushy. He has absolutely no clue about field placement.
His bowlers gave 150 in the last session. But our clueless captain kept fielders in closing positions throughout that session instead of setting defensive fielding to cut down the easy singles and boundaries.
He certainly lacks game awareness and has no idea about when to attach and when to defend. :facepalm

Yh sure he could have conceded 50 runs less, as far as he goes it doesn't even rank in his top 20 mistakes as a captain
I didn't see morning session, but from what I saw it's not like he's lost us the match

Because we won the test match against England and it gave everyone the false impression that we can do with Mushfiqur for now and maybe he is improving when the truth is that he didn't even captain much in the 2nd England innings?
For the thousandth time, he is not fit to be a captain. Think about this as well, he is one of our main batsman, he is the wicket keeper and he is the captain. He has 3 jobs. Way too high workload, but that is not the main reason he shouldn't be the captain. I am sick of saying the same thing again and again, it is going through our ears. Who cares, let him be. We won the test match against England.

I don't think its just Mushy.
Why did the team management assign Shakib in the slips in against RHB? Some of these decisions come from management. Also, Rabbi is useless in SC with his useless loose bowling.
Also, Miraz was bowling too short for my liking. The pitch was painstakingly slow. Anything on a good length is as good a short bowl

I said it many times (not here maybe): Mushy isn't capable of doing 3 jobs simultaneously (captaining, keeping & batting). Although he is our most dependable run-maker, his role as a captain and a keeper are questionable.
As a Keeper:
His keeping isn't up to the mark. His reflex is poor, not agile enough and doesn't attempt at all to take the catches that go between keeper and 1st slip. Also, it's the keeper who should set the slip positions (after discussing or whatever). Furthermore, he gives us no hint of improvement.
We should permanently include a fully-capable keeper (i.e. Liton).
As a Captain:
It doesn't seem like he has any game plan. It's the first morning session and you bring your 1st change with your best spinner. Shouldn't you set the most attacking field? 1st slip, 2nd slip/silly point, short leg, leg slip/gully etc. Rather he set a conventional field placement with only 1 slip, 1 short leg and 1 silly mid-on. Also, he let the most ineffective bowler (Rabbi) go for 8 straight overs with a new ball. He was rather defensive early when it's the 1st session with batsman on crease who did not face the bowlers recently and little attacking at the end of the day with set batsmen.

BCB is a spineless board, else our seniors wouldn't have been running the show. Any other board would have sacked Rahim from captaincy and also the gloves a long time ago

If he had set a defensice field and India scored 100-1 in the final session people would ask why he didn't have close in fielders.
That being said, his WK is subpar. We need to bring Nurul into the side as WK-bat...don't think Litton is good enough.
But agreed, why don't we have specialist slip fielders? Probably because with a bowling attack of Rubel and Rajib we never needed any, lol.

Tamim didn't do to badly last match actually, I'd probably prefer to give him a few more matches as captain than continue with mushy...I'm hoping in a couple of years sabbir will be fit and ready to take the captaincy over.

I don't understand why he brought Soumya as the first change bowler and gave away free runs.
