জিম্বাবুয়ের ক্রিকেট ঘোর অন্ধকার সময়ের ভেতর দিয়ে যাচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশ সফরটা তারই একটা প্রমাণ। এ সফরে এখন পর্যন্ত আটটি ম্যাচ খেলেও জয়ের দেখা পায়নি জিম্বাবুয়ে। ছয়টি আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যাচে হেরেছে, বাকি দুটো প্রস্তুতি ম্যাচের একটি হয়েছে ড্র। এই দুঃসময়ে বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট সমর্থকদের কাছে আকুল আবেদন জানাল জিম্বাবুয়ে ক্রিকেট। ক্রিকেট জিম্বাবুয়ের অফিশিয়াল ফেসবুক পেজ থেকে অনুরোধ জানানো হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেট সমর্থকেরা যেন তাদের নিয়ে হাসাহাসি না করে।

মজার ব্যাপার হলো, সেই স্ট্যাটাসটি বাংলায় দেওয়া হয়েছে। অবশ্য সেটা যে গুগল ট্রান্সলেটরের সাহায্য নিয়ে করা, তা অনুমান করাই যায়। দুর্বল, ভাঙা ভাঙা বাংলা। তবে তাতে জিম্বাবুয়ের আকুতিটা বুঝতে কষ্ট হয় না। ক্রিকেট জিম্বাবুয়ের সেই পোস্টটির বক্তব্য হলো, ‘বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেট সমর্থকেরা, আমাদের নিয়ে নিয়ে মজা না করে দয়া করুন। আমরা এরই মধ্যে কঠিন একটা সময় পার করছি। অসাধারণ ক্রিকেট খেলার জন্য আপনাদের অভিনন্দন। আমাদের ওপর রূঢ় হবেন না। ঈশ্বর আমাদের সহায় হোন। আমাদের একটা জয় খুবই জরুরি। ওহ ঈশ্বর, আমাদের সাহায্য করুন।’

ক্রিকেট জিম্বাবুয়ের এই ফেসবুক স্ট্যাটাস এরই মধ্যে বেশ সাড়া ফেলেছে বাংলাদেশ সমর্থকদের মধ্যে। অনেকেই সেই পোস্টে গিয়ে সমবেদনাও জানাচ্ছেন। জিম্বাবুয়ের ক্রিকেটের পাশে থাকার কথা বলছেন।

Though I have no sympathy for ZC, I do feel bad for Zimbabwe cricketers. Right now they are playing the game just for the love of it, without much of a financial reward or a decent coach to help them.

If they offer "no sledging" for the rest of the series, our team should accept it (provided they make the offer).

Anyways I appreciate Zimbabwe. Playing the sport without much financial reward. Whereas our bolods get so much yet do nothing productive. I always hope that there problems are solved and they are financially stable. The cricket world is in such a dilemma. Some cricketers are earning bucks after bucks and their counterparts are getting peanuts.
