Tapash vs. Sujon
Mahmud so far has been more economical than Tapash. Talha is a different story though. He is swinging the ball, making the batsmen to falter but at the same time giving away a lot of wides. Very unlucky not to get a wicket yet.

NZ vs Talha
NZ 76 for 1 off 13 overs
Talha bowled 5 overs and gave 46 of those runs with 10 wides.
Manju and Shujon gave 30 runs for a wicket from 8 overs.
*sigh*

Mahmud gets it!
13.5 Khaled Mahmud to Fleming, OUT: poor stroke to end a pretty poor
innings from Fleming, shortish ball just outside off stump, tries
to pull across the line, only succeeds in getting a thick top edge
lobbing up to Talha at mid off on the circle edge
He should have been out 2 overs ago.

Can\'t wait ....
I can't wait till the spinners are brough on. The wicket seems to have a lot of turn to it. There are three spinners on the BD side (without counting Ash), of whom Rafique can really turn the ball. This might turn out to be a real interesting affair.

Is it the wicket or is it...
Is it the turn on the wicket, which the BD bowlers are not used to, or is it the bowlers that are causing the wides?
For those who are watching please comment.

Wides
I'd say that it's safe to hold Talha responsible for the wides. Remember SHANTO ? Well, guess what, He's BACK (in Talha off course).
Need to get Sharif, Tareq and Masri out of their vacations or injury, if you want to get technical.

Yes
Yes - it was Talha who is bowling like this with lots of wides- I am afraid he is currently our second string bowler and is in the side in absence of Masri and Sharif.
He used to bowl such wide balls in the 2 test matches that he played too. Only in test matches, wides of one day cricket are not called as wides.
Come to think of it, for a second string bowler, he is a lot promising.
