My god even by a tail enders standard that was horrible! He restricted us to 279 when we could have gone after 290ish.

Dont understand the need to open an official thread to bash on a player... Specially when he failed on a role thats not even his speciality.

Is he in the team as an all rounder or spinner? all rounder doesn't make sense...nasir and others would be preferred over him. It'll be funny if he ends up taking 4 wickets

He has a half decent average as a batsman in domestic cricket so you would atleast expect him to know how to rotate the strike.

Another question mark on what Riad was asking Mosharraf to do. Riad should have just asked MH to give the strike to him. The instructions from the pavillion shouls have been the same.

But hey, we don't even have a proper batting coach...actually never had one. Just some meaningless "consultants" who teach us nothing.

Agreed. The team management was expecting a Maruti-Suzuki to perform like a Ferrari. Just not realistic. And now the poor guy will become a villain in everyone's eyes.

Yea m gonna bash on a specialist bowler for not being able to bat when we have this so called batsmen that can't score after being given like 1 year worth of chances...

It was not the inability to bat but how inept and clueless he looked. Someone else failures shouldn't mean he can't be bashed/criticized his lack of skills.

Poor effort to hide Sakibs horror show!

MH RUBEL is a spinner, not batsmen who has been playing for ages. Even the great Mashrafe can't get bat on ball.

He was sent to smack it.. With riyad on the other side and mash and co to come, that was the right thing to do. I have seen this guy bat before and he looked far better then today. I guess he was nervous. Hope he does well on his role

I haven't seen him bat before (or probably forgot as it was 8 years ago). Maybe I am being too harsh on him but common sense dictates that when you are struggling, rotate the strike, and let Riyad play his shots. But he was going for mighty heaves and we all know that none of them looked convincing enough to clear the ropes.

I'm fan of MH Rubel. First saw him 2008 and was impressed by him. He is tall for a spinner, and he has good variation. He has the capability I feel which can help Bangladesh spin department.

Happy to see him in the side. Better late than never!

Taskin's batting is a joke too, but no one is saying anything about it because that's not his job. Same should be the case for Mosha. And please don't bring up his 50s and 100s in the domestics. We all already know it doesn't mean anything. Even a noob like Elias Sunny sometimes opens the innings for his team over there.

Well, you ran into thin ice when you judged a bowler on the basis of his batting.
