Why BCB embroils cricketers in such dramas before start of a world cup?!

দাওয়াতে গিয়ে ক্ষোভের আগুন জ্বালালেন সাকিবরা

Tomorrow, they will have to make a 9 hour journey from Brisbane to Hobart, making a stop at Melbourne, instead of taking a 3 hour direct flight to Hobart. Apparently India or Pakistan getting direct flights between venues, but not our team. Incompetent BCB need to learn to coordinate better with ICC.

False pride will remerge like a phoenix among the players when they play this cheap roadside show called BPL, win some ODI matches at home at pitches which are worse infected than COVID, or play against teams like UAE and only win games by a whisker.

I dont think fans and particularly the media come down very hard against the team and management. Yes there are some on and off news but these losers have a thick skin or use their boat power to hush the media up.

Something about Bangladesh under Mashrafee was different. Maybe the big 4 were more in form, or maybe Mashrafee knew how to get the most out of even regular players. Regardless, these new captains can't replicate what Mashrafee can (with media/people/players/etc)

Despite Bashar and Pilot being poor performers they did one thing was having a disciplined dressing room.

Mash did the exact same thing and kept these big 4 egos in check and overall was a great mentor. If a bowler got smacked he would go and talk to him. He would scream at a fielder for being tardy. Not point fingers like this garbage Taskin and Shohan recently did with Ebadot.

Mash was the only proper captain this team had. Our culture doesn’t encourage guys to be leaders. Only allows egos to talk and have almost nothing to back it.

Mishfiqur was the worst case as he never mentally grew to be a captain or a leader.

Our Sydney match on Thursday is likely to be rain affected as well. However, it should be much warmer.

Well, we may suck on the field, but BCB and Shakib are really good creating dramas off the field..

Adelaide will have drop-in batting friendly flat pitches. We should not expect much from our pacers here. Given the scarcity of lefties in the opponent sides, there are good chances to see Nasum in those two matches. In Sriram's word, he may be a good 'matchup' against those two sides.

IMO, Soumya should be persisted with given his good past records on such even bounce pitches. Also, Soumya, Shakib, and Taskin are three surviving members of BD team that defeated England on this ground on ODI WC'15. I hope that experience will come into play. I hope Litton and Shakib will finally come out of their shells in the last two matches.

Drop Yasir for Ebadot.

Dinesh Karthik pulled a back spasm in the last match, unlikely to play against us. Rishabh Pant prolly would have replaced him anyway, after DK's performance with bat yesterday.

Weather forecast says rain may curtail the match.

Although it is best not to chop and drop team at this point these are Soumya's last scores:

0, 15, 14, 1, 4

Needless to say he is not in form. What one did in wee hours of life eons ago has no bearing whatsoever now. Imho he should be dropped and will be dropped.

Who do you propose as replacement? Only batter we have on the bench is Miraz. Other option is to promote Litton and everyone else one position up in the batting order. But that will mean to persist with Yasir. Between Soumya and Yasir, I rather persist with Soumya.

Yes. Miraz and if I had my way Ebadot. But probably another seamer will be brought in. Like Saifuddin.

Dude, Saifuddin is not even in the squad anymore. He's back in Bangladesh, playing for Chattogram in NCL.

It's pointless to go back and forth atp. Understandably, the vibe that team management is giving is that they won't tinker with the team much for last two matches. It's highly unlikely they will go back to Miraz as an opener, or promote Litton. Top five are settled, so are Mosaddek and Nurul. Only player left to be tinkered with is Yasir.

BTW, our openers are not the only ones struggling in early Australian summer. Even Warner has been a failure so far on his own home grounds. At least Soumya is not wasting balls like many others.

Soumya has not done anything of merit for a very very long time. I would drop Soumya and bring in extra pacer like Soriful/Ebadot. Yasir can stay as he does good in fielding at least.

This. Except I was not aware Saifuddin was replaced. However, I would think dropping Yasir for Miraz would make our squad stronger. And obviously he doesn't have to open.

I remember R Kelly's lyrics- I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky

He flew straight to jail.

If the current stock of rubbish player being selected, bolod marka selection panel and garbage coaches, IMO it is criminal to even think this team can make something of themselves

If SA beats Pak and by god's miracle we also do..then it looks like by the tournaments format and how teams will stack up for 2024, Pak may have to play qualification round in next T20 WC the Indian trolling on Pak will be legendary
