Waiting for SS to become our own version of Dada-captain someday.
Boy, I hope Bangladesh is ready for that kind of change by then. I can already see the idiots getting riled up.

If it happens no one won't mind nor care as long as he puts in good performances for the desh as captain!
It won't certainly happen next 10years, Riyad in line next. Sakib, Tamim, Mushy all be there. Unless someone starts doing exceptionally as player and captain in the domestic, and BPL!

I'll go with Babar. Score 3 consecutive hundred at age of 21 is no joke. Media is not too far either. Did very well in test vs England and Aus.

^^ I like Duckett...he's a left-handed Paul Stirling.
Can attack when he wants to, needs to improve on playing spin.
And of course, he's Miraz's 1st wicket in international cricket

So stats doesn't count? Duckett looks good but his performance nowhere near to his ability...

Yes, sure. Stats count in this situation.
I made an assumption on the raw physicality that impressed me about Duckett.
Furthermore, I was cognizant of ignoring stats for his case.

Tanvir doesn't players a single game in BPL (well, he got a game as Dhaka qualified already by then) but gets in to the nats team based on 4 wickets haul he got in a dudhbhat practice game.

Our players are not clutch. They are all mentally strong otherwise they wouldn't have gone so far.
But being mentally strong and having strong nerves are two completely different things. How often have we capitulated when there was a bit more pressure being applied?
Our players need to always practice these:
1) Deep breathing
2) Don't change your habits when there is a bit of pressure. Do whatever relaxes you usually.
3) Before playing the match, visualize yourself playing in a difficult situation. I am sure all of our players visualizes themselves in a position like 200-2 after 30 overs and can bat with freedom and no pressure.
4) When the pressure is on, try to put your hand up and want to be in the middle. I have seen that our players have poor body languages when the pressure is on with the exception of Shakib and Sabbir but only to a certain extent.
5) Understand that every team goes through such phases often and not only Bangladesh. This may seem unfamiliar to us because we hardly sniff victories.

Mental strength indicates one who can handle failure and struggles both in short run or long run. Mentally strong people can go through setback after setback without losing enthusiasm. They will be dealing with adversaries in life without getting too scarred.
Now nerves is different in a sense. Some people have the unique able to perform under pressure. They enjoy the thrill of the pressure. They hold their nerve and maintain their calm. A very unique characteristic. This part is all about instantaneous, coping with problem directly infront of us.

Our senior players will never learn even after 10 years of playing the game and supposedly suppose to be entering their 'peak' years soon. Tamim still doesn't know how to rotate strike, Shakib disappears after the first game with the bat, Riyad is well...idk and Rahim is Rahim. Our youngsters and debutants are suppose to learn from them and when they're not even consistent themselves what hope can we have of them.

Apart from his nightmare debut, TanBir (with a big B), has also been reprimanded by the ICC match referee for using foul language. I think I heard him uttering the F word a couple of times. Can't blame him though because many might have had uttered the same watching his performance.

that's even better, he ticks all the boxes to stay away from international cricket.
Is he the worst/useless cricketer to debut for BD ?

The physical transformation of Virat Kholi is amazing. No wonder why he is the world's best atm.
If only our players had that extra motivation outside the cricket field/nets to work on their body and get fitter, they would have achieved so many things in cricket...
