Replacement for Taskin
They should take Ebadat as replacement for Taskin.
Ebadat-Jayed-Khaled is a decent test lineup.
First time we will have Sylheti trio lead us in test?

Ebadat looks good. First few games he looked like over trying to get wickets. Last match he reminded me of Brett Lee from the early 00s. Bowled good areas, let the ball do the talking and was accurate. 4-17 his best figures, so far. Many more to come.
I reckon in NZ. He and Taskin, couldve been good. At ODI’s that is. No idea why Taskings in the Test squad based on his T20 performance. It’s different bowling in Test, it’s a different ball game. You have to bowl long spells, bowling to certain channels and lines, being patient and keep at it. We’ve seen Taskin looks bit lost at test and over bowls short stuffs. Basically a Taller version of Rubel at test, ATM.
But still I think he’s action is not slingy like Rubel and fizz, who both are more old ball bowlers. Taskin can improve and get better as a trst bowler. Needs to get his lines and mindset right for test though.
I don’t know ahout others but this a worldcup year. I’d leave out the Fizz for test, Only play him at LOI’s (ODI, T20). He isn’t exactly going to get a lot of grips and turns in NZ at Test and be causing havocs. Why risk playing him incase he picks up an injury. He is your best LOI bowlet. Big year. Rest him for test leading upto WC.
Khaled-Ebadat-Taskin/Jayed. Or even 4 seam attack looks promising. There’s pace, height, swing, control, there.
Onething for sure. Future looks good for BD, in terms of TEST pace bowling. ODI been good since 2015. Test the format needing more.

I bet you all any money. If Taskin does not make it then Shafiul will he his replacement. Such is the low IQ of these selectors.

may be a blessing in disguise..with rubel, fizz, mash and saifuddin on squad tashkin would not have played the ODI series anyway. Now we can try Ebadat in tests and lets see what the hype is all about..but are the selectors willing to try a new prospect in tests?..I doubt it

Taskin will miss the ODI’s in NZ.
Get Ebadat in. Or add Khaled for ODI’s.

Pretty sure it will be Ibadat as Shafiul himself is recovering from an injury and will only be fit enough to play the playoffs... but but what if its Forhad Reza

PHOR-HAD Reza to the rescue.
So much pace I’m honestly scared that third class batsmen like Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson might not be able to hit the ball.
If it’s SHOFIUL... forget it. Batsmen might start shaking during his run up.

They were supposed to name the replacement 2 days ago. Are they waiting for a good performance from Shafiul to take him as a pace bowling all-rounder?

If a bowler can't bowl a yorker, he shouldn't be going.

I was trying to jinx it
Had I not said anything Shafiul would have been in the Test squad and Ebadat would be sitting at home chewing gua and faan and waiting for his mom to make some handesh.

Essentially they only picked Ebadat. Between Mash, Fizz, Rubel, Saif... dont see Shafi making that squad unless there is 2 injuries. He is just going as a 2nd backup. On the other hand Ebadat is almost certain to get one game atleast

There is no justification for calling any BD player by such distasteful terms. Shafiul/Taskin is a player like any other. Some may be good, others not so, but no need to make personal attacks.
