Default Can Shakib play 2020 T20 WC

Shakib's ban will be over on October 29th. 2nd round games will be played after October 29th. If BD proceed to the 2nd round, will ICC allow Shakib to play in the 2nd round?

ICC shouldn't have any problem. It is what kind of shape he would be in and if the coach wants him in the middle of a tournament, plus if we qualify; matters.

Pretty sure it's a no. Since team selection needs to be prior to that date?

Well BCB can include Shakib's name in that list. In that case for the first round BD will have to play with one less player (14 instead of 15).

Don't you think that sounds ridiculous?

Why in the world ICC should allow a banned player to be listed for a WC even before his ban expire?!

They already did him/BCB a huge favor by suspending one year out of his original two years ban.

Bangladesh would need to include him. He will prepare behind the scenes obviously leading upto it, training somewhere to get fit.
