Last night he was extremely good by his standard -not outstanding. He clearly didn't attempt a catch which fell between him and an one legged Mashrafe. I wouldn't say I am harsh on Riyad. Perhaps, you could accuse me of being TOUGH against a very experienced international cricketer. I wouldn't be so "harsh" on say, Mosaddek, Miraz, Saifuddin or even Sabbir or Soumya. I am tough on Riyad out of frustration of his lack of progress since that wonderful CWC form and his recent resurfaced chacha apon jaan baancha Not Out* attitude/mindset.
Look Bhai, if international batters have to "manufacture" shots against a bowler who averages in the mid 40s how are they going to cope with your Mustafizurs or mystery spinners or outstanding bowlers! And talking about Athar -despite his overflowing passion- I think someone needs to replace him in the combox ASAP. This man is getting worse by the day and still struggles to put together one clear simple sentence. I would rather put up with a delectable-that's what the doctor ordered-it was on the card-it is going...going...or has it- Brit Shamcha who has absolute no clue about cricket and the mind of a pubescent. Yes, I am perhaps slightly exaggerating. I say this as an ex Athar defender/supporter -he is getting simply unbearable. And, funny thing is he still doesn't know how to pronounce Soumya's name correctly!

That was such a classy innings... He started rotating the strike from bowl 1.. He realized the importance of keeping the scoreboard going and not building pressure. Glad to see him back...

He's regained his best form. His last few ODI innings: 102*, 8, 6*, 46*, 51, 43*

Yes that was something very special from Riyad. It was a very high class performance by two batsman. He not only stayed in difficult situation, once they are set, they played for win. Well done Riyad.

Mahmudullah for captaincy. As much as I luv shakib. I hope we go for Tamim or Mahmudullah. Plus the two speak English well. Mahmudullah has been good for his bpl sides as captain. BD nees new leader not someone from past, after Big Mash!

It was a muted acknowledgement. Not a celebration like jumping and fisting. Like Tamim did. Riyad and Shakib both realized that win is more important than century celebration.

Its time to bring him at #3. This is his ideal position. No more Kaedge or Mr. Selfie

Sensational knock from riyad today! Credit where credit's due!
He has solidified his position as a lower order bat in his team.

I hate batsmen doing shezdah on mid pitch. Ugh cringeworthy. Riyad please take my advice and go easy on these celebrations. Way too over the top.
His innings on the other hand was top class. Hope he can keep up and be more consistent.

You cannot compare apple with oranges. That is not Riyad's style. He celebrated the way he always does... not more not less.

When any player plays badly for some time, He will get some criticism, and when a player plays great, he will get all the praise. That is the part of the deal in a player-fan relationship.

Funny thing, he was about to do it in the wrong direction then Mossadek corrected him

No player can perform all the time in every single match. Now if we criticize every single mistake in every single match then it does no good. Sometimes reassurance and motivation is important than just criticism.
