Let me tell you, this Zim batting line up should not be ignored.. Mire is a danger man. Grandaddy Mazakadza always knew how to play. After Sangakarra, Taylor has always been the tormentor in chief for the Tigers. Ervine and Raza are also fine players who could walk into the Bd side. Their averages are identical to our middle order.

yeah yeah yeah yeah (rapper voice)

... you right man. However, let's take all their averages in Bangladesh into account. also their record against SLA in Bangladesh. it might tell a slightly different story.

I would like to see us bat first. Can we score 300+ again?

We have been looking so good because Tamim got starts. Wonder how rest will react if he falls early.

The greatest surprise has been how responsibly Shakibul Jordan has been batting at 3. I mean, wow. The greatest of all time, goat.

So, now Whoever beats Bangladesh or if both beats Bangladesh or if both loses to Bangladesh then either of Sri Lanka or Zimbabwe will face Bangladesh in final based on NRR(Net Run Rate). The following games with Bangladesh will be of interest to both teams then.

For Bangladesh, It's about keeping the momentum going. I would like to see a 50+ innings from Bijoy and Riyad. I would also like to see Fizz pick up a 3+ wicket haul.

Thanks for the laugh Simon.

The batting have been too dependent on Tamim-Shakib-Mushfiq last two matches. It's high time Anam-Riyad-Sabbir-Nasir step up.

I actually like these triangular tournaments. Bangladesh should have more of those at home. Next time, I would like to see Bangladesh have at least one of the major sides i.e. India.

I like our batting line-up. Shakib batting at #3 is a great idea. Anamul coming back is also great. Has to make it count now. He can't do any worse than Sarker. Shabbir batting where he belongs is good to see. Nasir days seems to be outnumbered. Mosaddek and Mehedi has a higher ceiling than him it looks. We could look to bring Nurul into the squad somehow.

The bowling line-up is interesting. Our three frontline pacers – Mashrafe, Rubel and Fizz – are fine, but we do really need to groom in Abu Hider. We don't have much in terms of spin, but Mehedi and Mosaddek can provide that support for Shakib left arm spin. They're the best we've got anyway.

The most technically sound batsmen in the Zimbabwean lineup is probably Brendan Taylor. Other than him, I have noticed many of their players have major technical weaknesses. example: Substantial Gap between Bat and Pad/ playing any from body(without proper timing/excellent hand-eye coordination it can screw you up) etc...No way Bangladesh should lose this. not acceptable. Let's pounce on it.

Technique has become a small part of batting in the sense, that everybody figures out their stance and playing style from an early age, and the higher up they move, they don't change it in fear of destroying what got them here thus far. Mazakadza, Mire, Ervine and Raza can all bat, believe me you. Their averages and strike rates are almost identical to our top and middle order, in some cases, they are better.

It's just that we are more confident and have the home advantage, that's all. Do you for a moment think a series in Zimbabwe right now won't be close, after how abysmally we performed vs SA in SA?
