Which ever way he acts, THE WHOLE TEAM WILL ACT LIKE THAT.
I whole hearty agree with you

shakib already have the burden of bowling+batting and we want good performance in both sectors from him. captaincy will be an added pressure

Effectively killing Soumya and Sabbir... Thank God!
Ullah isn't great though, if he didn't have vc, I'd have mossadek in instead

Very true, but no one has had to carry this responsibility in the history of the game, if he can improve the team and do a good job, then it'll take him to that next level in legacy

Not sure how good of a news is this for the test team and a very poor justification by Mr. President “We now want Mushfiqur to focus on his batting and remain pressure-free,"
So according to him this would take pressure off Mushfique but whatabout putting the extra pressure on Shakibs shoulders who already has more roles to play than mushi

Shakib is captain because there is no obvious other choice. In tests Ryad is still very inconsistent. Tamim is as dumb a captain as Mushfiq. So really not many options

Shakib won't be any smarter than Mushfiq. And now Riyad will waste an automatic spot in the XI when Mosaddek is a far better option.

Something is not right. Why is he talking about T10 right after he got the test captaincy?

Rightly pointed out by Isam.

Lol nothing more to say. Guy who didn't want to play Tests a few months ago is now the Test captain. Someone who is in an out of the Test team is now the vice-captain.

No wonder no self-respecting coach wants to work with these jokers.

I would have preferred to see Tamim as the Test captain.

This looks like repercussions of Hathu-players fight in SA. We already know what Mushfiq said. I guess Tamim paid for showing anger and frustration towards Hathu in nets, when he was struggling with his injury. Hathu is gone, but he played Papon well for one last time.

The team was dysfunctional under Shakib, with him having so many behavior issues and being negligent of maintaining a good dressing room environment. Those issues are very much still the same with him, as evident during BPL.

Mature response from Mushfiq:
Quote:
Whatever happened Alhamdulillah for that. I wish Shakib and Riyad bhai all the best. I will continue to give my best as a player to my team and the nation and I will be always there for any support.

– Mushfiqur Rahim after being removed as Test captain.

Shakib will lose the job by the 2019 WC. for the teams sake I wish him well...he's a damn good all rounder. but i have my doubts.

the real problem is Riyad will keep Mosaddek out unless Mushy takes the gloves again.

^^ I don't think it's a big deal to bench the VC for the sake of team combination, but Mosaddek has not been convincing as a batsman yet.

He posts like once a month, further he's most definitely been told not to say anything until given the green light bcb, which is reasonable, considering mushfiqs past comments

Man, this is like a punishment to Shakib. First cut down t20 league permissions to two only and now make him the captain of the test team

not sure how effective the team would be with Shakib leading the team in test but time will tell. Can't see him doing a better job than Mushfiq - and mushy was a disaster in captaincy term.

Hey Everybody, I have good news for you! BCB is waiting for Gary Kirsten until February. He is coacing in the Big Bash now and won’t be able to come in until February 23 according to Papon (Kalerkantho source).

Hey! I will wait for Gary over anyone else until next December if I have to! Hopefully Papon can seal the deal! Yesssss!

Mosaddek did make Herath and Co look like parar bowlers. Granted Herath may only be a fairly ordinary bowler but Musa was playing in their yard.
