Dhaka should be banned from the next BPL
It took more than two season... to find out what kind of cheats Dhaka Gladiators were...

Brilliant stuff from BCB as usual. Make up rules as you go along - who cares about this little thing called professionalism? Both decisions from the BCB today encapsulate what a mess the cricket in the country and the country itself is in.

Isam has spoken.

Quote:
What I just witnessed near the two dugouts in Mirpur stadium is nothing new to the BPL. Utter chaos. The BPL governing council "suggested" ways to finish the game but all of these things could've been avoided if they simply included these things in the playing conditions earlier.
Quote:
The Comilla owners, justifiably, wanted the best for their team. Any team would have done this. Rangpur waited, which is what any opponent would do in such a chaotic situation. But time and again, the BPL officials are making a mockery of rules, regulations and norms.
Quote:
It is sad, really. They defended the Mirpur curator who didn't produce T20-type wickets. They have now ruined the tournament's mood, by again not taking cricket's best interest into consideration. Cricket should've been the first priority.
Quote:
The 2nd qualifier will now be played tomorrow. Bottom line. Which is what matters. But they could have kept reserve day for all playoff matches before the tournament started. They didn't. And now it looked like a neighbourhood tape-tennis tournament
Quote:
And take it from me, I have played many tape-tennis tournaments across the country. They are much better organised than the BPL. At least the organisers are mostly fair.

BCB is the only board in the world where you can be really really bad at your job but still remain in full employment.

How that Mallick guy has been retained in the BPL committee is a joke.. how most of them are still in the committee is a farce.

BPL governing council is a big fat joke.

What kind of an organizing committee makes up such important decisions in the middle of a match.

Not just BPL 2017. I remember it was 2012, when I was a young chittagonian supporting Chittagong Kings. As per the qualfication requirements, it was points first, then head to head and finally NRR. CTG was ahead of Barisal but this was changed last minute to kick CTG out and Barisal qualified even though CTG were ahead.

Well atleast today's decision was somewhat unacceptable. But the previous decision by the BPL GC was just bad.

TBH no one expected such rain but if you are going to have a reserve day for the final then why not today.

On the plus side, many youngsters will witness their first limited overs game being played across 2 days.

Welcome to my domain.

Comilla doesn't learn. They got hammered by Dhaka when batting second. Now, they win the toss in this final eliminator, yet choose to bat second despite what happened in the last match. They deserve to go out I guess. Also, having 3 Bangladesh batsman at the top is suicide. Put Marlon Samuels as Tamim's partner or at #3 since he has the ability to hit big. Jos Butler is better in the middle-lower order. Malik should also bat a big higher. Silly mistakes is costing them.

There is a lot of dew on the ground. That's the good news for Comilla. But unless Samuels or Butler play a big innings, they will lose.

Absolute carnage by McCullum and Charles. This is a tough ask for Comilla.

It is very sad that comilla is losing.. their players specially the overseas players are not showing any positive body language to play this match. why would they? they are playing this extra match for no reason in their interest..

It is just a show now to oficially let rangpur go to the finals. Ofcourse rangpur played well but the comilla players are mentally not in the game.

I think tamim and comilla management were not willing to play this match, they were bullied by BCB via Bashundhara group...

But I would prefer Rangpur in the final to see a better match.. comilla doesnt seem to match dhaka to give a good fight..

Second time someone has asked this question. T20 leagues do not have the money to fork out 20-30k to hire DRS for such games.

Money is more important to Shakib than dignity, why did he star in that Eggy noodles ad, was the script written by a adult entertainment director.

Why would you need a high budget DRS.. they can only refer it to third umpire and with the limited logistics that are shown in replay we can get better decisions..
