Default BPL5 Qualifier 2: CoV vs RR | Dec 10 | 6PM BD Time

Comilla eye batting revival with spot in final at stake
Quote:
It rained in Dhaka on Saturday and Sunday's forecast doesn't seem very promising either. The pitch, which has been under the covers, is likely to offer some assistance to the bowlers.
If the match is rained off, CoV will get through to final because of their superior standing in the league stage.

There should have been a reserve day..if this game gets rained off this will mean that both the eliminator and qualifier 1 was for nothing

I actually want Comilla to win. They have been an outstanding edition to the BPL. Team of the tournament so far despite getting thrashed in the last match. If they were to reach the final, they need to bat first: it's their best chance of winning.

BCB wanted to have a reserve day, but CoV didn't agree to this change in policy.

Poor planning from such a poor planned league. No reserve days for such an important match

obviously they wont agree because if the match gets rained out they go through but who are they to agree on this? BCB should get the final call. if the final also gets washed out we just hand the trophy to CoV because they finished first in the round robin?

DD will never let that happen.

Comilla have the rights to refuse a reserve day because this reserve day rule should have been made before the tournament, not during, idiot BCB

Something interesting to note. BCB officially had a reserve day agreed for the final before the tournament started. However, they did not have one for the qualifier, why? If they can agree it for the final, why they didn't do it for the qualifiers?

There is no way they could have foreseen who would have been in the qualifiers right? I knew before the tournament. It will be a Dhaka and Comilla final...To much vested interest.. too much BCB links.. Mustafa/Papon..

Begs the question of conflict of interest.

Dhaka has a team where Mohammad Amir and Sangakkara and Cameron delport was being benched.

Who stopped other teams to bring strong players. Look at ctg. They brought some mediocrity.

Dhaka even last season had sanga Russel Bravo Lewis like Bopara . It's all about investment.

In cricket we can clearly see Bangladesh losing 90% of their matches to India. Why so? Because they are stronger

Totally agree bro. These dirty dhaka based bcb directors already knew there would be rain during winter and that comilla would top the round robin points table and that sylhet would suck more than nickleback as a team. The whole system is rigged from the beginning i tell you. DD are such bullies (sigh)

We have some important updates. We understand that the BPL Governing council has decided to extend the cut-off time by two hours. As of now, one of the teams are being convinced to play. Not sure, which team that is. But yes, we do have news that the cut-off time has definitely been pushed by two hours. There's hope, folks! This is unreal stuff...

Nikhil Batra: "Being convinced to play?? Shouldn't this be something that the governing council decides and conveys to both captains? - Democracy in these things isn't good :P" -- To be fair, the actual cut-off time went past us a while back.

unorganised bunch of sissies.

Mohammad Isam is at the ground and he says: "Things are utterly chaotic here. Neither does the BCB members nor the BPL governing council nor the broadcasters know what's happening here."

It is super over. Mazher Arshad tweet:

Quote:
We are hearing that the second finalist of the BPL will be decided by a super over between Rangpur Riders and Comilla Victorians!
Opps.. his tweeted this after..

However, nothing is confirmed here until it happens. They might still change it.

totally agree with you, these dirty dhaka shamans made it rain all day during the qualifier so both team get knocked out somehow and dhaka wins the title. this is the mother of all conspiracy. this is even a bigger conspiracy than the conspiracy that knocked out Sylhet.

Dhaka should be banned from the next BPL
