great stuff from mushy 92* striking over 100, he's really turned himself into a solid batsman in all formats, still needs a bit more consistency at the international level to be put up their right next to shakib and tamim but he's got it in him and he's not that far away.

Mominul should have been selected! he has experience of doing well overseas! like West Indies.
and 100% no to Shuvogoto Hom! had enough chance in BPL to show his talent! complete and utter failure.

It seems that Akram Khan wants to have Junaid be our opener in T20I's while Imrul opens for us in ODI's. It seems he also wants Anamul ahead of Jahurul for the #3 spot in all forms.

Junaid should be the opener in T20, and Imrul in ODI for now until Anamul kicks him out. Anamul should bat at number 3 in T20 for now. Jahurul deserves number 3 in ODI at least for few more games. He earned it after having a decent Asia Cup.

Muminul's knock of 71* (49) was in front of packed stadium at Bogra. Shows he has no problem playing in front of big crowd. Not many of our cricketers play in front of big crowd until they play for the national team.
Uploaded couple of video in social media.

No I did not. Nasif bhai ran an advertise on Facebook to promote the page, thats why you see 2400+ likes on FB page. 860+ of them are Dhaka resident according to FB. But hopefully when Bangladesh starts playing more international match we can get more people to join Banglacricket's FB page. Once we get good number we will then begin to promote the main site Banglacricket.com get more people in this forum.
860+ from Dhaka not 1200

I really wish I could get hold of a video of Mominul's Innings. Its a shame that we have missed out on that
This is why Stuart Law was so eager to get him to Bangladesh side. Not only he doesn't have a problem playing infront of a big crowd,he also has no problem in batting in pressure situation. In the last tour of Bangladesh A vs West Indies A,Mominul played a brilliant knock of 150 runs when Bangladesh A was 4 down for 40 odd runs. And to score 150 in the fast wicket in WI,you definitely need great skill & application which he has.So really looking forward to see him grow up as a player and take over the job of fortifying our middle order(No 3 position is still a worry for us).

I know Kayes has got what it takes. He should be the long term partner for Tamim only in odi's. Kayes is a specialist ODI batsmen. Mominul should definitely be under the radar. If he plays consistently and Mahmudullah doesnt then he might replace him (even though i dont want that to happen).
Bangladesh ODI Team in 2013
1. Tamim
2. Imrul
3. Jahurul/Anamul
4. Mominul
5. Shakib
6. Mushfiqur
7. Nasir
8. Mashrafe
9. Elias/Razzak
10. Nazmul
11. Rubel
I want Shakib at no. 4 but i know he doesnt want to bat there. I think Mahmudullah might be axed from the team only because he will be confused as to what role he will play in the team. I love Mahmudullah because he is a cool headed player. I has the ability to tough it out if there is a collapse in the batting order.

Agreed. It'll be interesting to see what happens. A lot of things could change in the upcoming matches. Junaid and Anamul have a good opportunity to prove themselves here as top order batsmen. Ziaur also has a good chance to showcase himself.

Yup Mominul looks like a very good batsman. He definitely has a very bright future. That's why I wanted him to feature in our T20 team. It's a bit unfortunate since our middle order is well set while our top order is very wobbly still. So he might have to wait a bit but it's good to see him doing well. We need to have good backups in case 1 of our middle order batsmen gets injured.

Well we've already had a discussion of what Imrul needs to work on in the other thread. If he does improve on his game, then I don't see why he can't be the long term partner for Tamim in ODI's.
Also if we continue to perform well then I don't see Mahmudullah getting dropped since he's the VC. He'll be credited along with Mushy for good performances. Of course unless he starts performing terribly but doubt that's happening.

So Mominul impresses once again !!!
Reallyyyyyyyyyyyy happy for our sushy mushy !!!
Would've loved if either of Tamim/Shakib got a 50 .. but this was a 25 over game so 42 and 30 is not bad... in fact looking at the SR looks like Shakib actually won the match for Victoria !!
Other notable performances
Shubhagoto Hom - 63
Imrul Kayes -52 with a good SR
Elius Sunny - 41 (surprised)
Saqlain Sajib 3 wkts
Shubhagoto Hom, Arafat Sunny and Nur hossain 2 wkts each

In t20s I'd gave no problem with anamul opening and mominul batting #3, although i'd like shuvagata in the team to, lots of competition for a middle order spot!
