Default Selim is gonna play, right?

So far haven't read anywhere after the 1st test match finished that Selim will be dropped and Pilot will be included in the test side.

But there was certainly a rumour about Pilot's playing.

If I were a selector, I would have liked to take both Pilot and Selim in the Australia tour as two specialist keepers.

Default I agree

Pilot should get into the team even as a lower-middle order batsman. He regularly scores heavily in the domestic circuit nowadays...we know for sure he can hang around for quite a while and score a few useful runs. So I would go for him as a specialist test batsman in the lower-middle order. Selim can be the keeper in both versions of the game. Pilot can replace Akram Khan or Sanwar (specifically in Australia where spin won't work as much and we need reliable batsmen).

I will be pretty surprised if Pilot isn't picked for Australia. However, I don't understand the point of playing Pilot as a specialist batsman. If he is in the team, he might as well keep as well. We don't have to take Selim as a specialist keeper if Pilot is in the team. Might as well take another batsman or bowler.

-Selim is only in because Pilot is out.
-Pilot is only out because of his alleged behavior.
-Then Pilot cannot get into the team
-But if he is cleared, he should be in, and Selim out.
-Pilot is not an upper order batsman, but in comparison to BD players, he is a very good lower order batsman.
-Given our domestic league's bowling quality, any batsman with test level exposure will score heavily. Many, many foreign but test rejects have been proving this repeatedly over the past 1o years.
