Default Quiz time (WC)

Simple rules: Okay, lets play a game and gain knowledge. Everyone can participate. (1) The only rule is no cheating. No googling, or searching for answer. Be truthful to yourself. Never know, one of these questions you may know the answer and be correct. If you know it or you want to take a shot at it, answer the question. (2) If it correct, YOU GET TO ASK THE NEXT QUESTION. (3) If no one gets the answer right, 24 hours and the person asked the question should answer and ask another question.

ANYTHING RELATED TO WC. Let us stick to BD team. Easy, medium, hard; whatever floats your boat.

I'll ask the first question:
WHO HAS THE HIGHEST BATTING AVERAGE? Bonus: between which range? 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89.

Please don't spoil the fun by looking up stats. "Guess", if you don't know. We could read some funny posts.
Read the summary on the second post of this thread. You are welcome.

Ans1 (Cricket_King):Minhajul Abedin. The range was wrong. Nannu averaged 70. 140 runs in 4 innings with 2 notouts.

Q2 (T_E): Who (Non-Wicket keeper - BD nationals) has the highest # of catches in one WC game? Bonus: How many catches?

Ans3 (Yankees): Mushy.

Q4 (Yankees): Which BD player went the most number of innings without a ODI hundred. And how many innings did he take to get there (I will consider it right if you come within +/- 5). And since this is WC related, in which WC game did he snap the streak?
Ans4 (godzilla): Mullah. Against England. 97th innings he got his 100. What a hundred it was.

Q5 (Night_wolf): Mullah has an unique all round record that no other Bangladehi have..can anyone name the record? (This is a career question not a WC question)
Ans5 (Night_wolf): 1k runs, 100 wkts, 100 catches. (So he had to answer his own question.)

Q6 (T_E): How many BD batsmen have scored a 50+ in WC game?
Ans6: Yankee (10).

Shakib (5), Mahmudullah (3), Tamim (3), Mushfiqur (4), Ashraful (2), Kayes (2), Nannu (2), Soumya, Sabbir, Mehrab Hossain.

Q7 (T_E): Who has the best WC bowling figures (one inning)?
Ans7: Night_wolf

Shafiul 4 wkts vs Ireland - Dhaka (8 Ovs, 1 maiden, 2.62 econ) 2011

Mash 4 wkts vs India - Port of Spain (9.3 Ovs, 2 maidens, 4.00 econ) 2007 (Brings back memories)

Shakib 4 wkts vs New Zealand - Hamilton (8.5 Ovs, 1 Maiden, 6.22 Econ) 2015

Q8 (Yankees): Which Bangladeshi has scored most number of ducks in WC games? (Hint: it's a tie).
Ans8 (T_E): Razzak.
Shafiul, Razzak, Mo Rafique, and Tamim Iqbal are all tied for first with 3 ducks each.

Q9 (T_E): How many WC matches BD have won?
Ans9 (Night_Wolf): 11. '99 - 2; '07-3; '11-3; '15-3.

Q10 (Night_Wolf): Who was the first Opponent for BD in WC?
Ans10 (Night_wolf): New Zealand.

Q11(T_E): Which two BD players have the highest partnership in WC? Bonus: How many runs?

Nice try Ringo. But no. They are not the leading average guy.

People? Can't even guess? Come on now!!! If you are not excited about WC history then what are you excited about? Ashraful?

Default QUESTION #2

Since cricket_king didn't post any question I will ask the next question:

Who (Non-Wicket keeper - BD nationals) has the highest # of catches in one WC game? Bonus: How many catches?

Tamim

Gonna guess 4 catches. For some reason I feel it occurred in 2007.

has to be either of our 2 best fielders, soumya or nasir. Nasir would have to be in 2011 (unlikely), so its Soumya Sarkar. And 3 or 4 catches.

I got one after ringo's questions, cause I'm pretty sure I got it right.

Which BD player went the most number of innings without a ODI hundred. And how many innings did he take to get there (I will consider it right if you come within +/- 5). And since this is WC related, in which WC game did he snap the streak?

You must get all 3 right since two of them are pretty obvious.
