Mominul will probably make a last minute entry into the T20 squad, which won't be so bad. More competition will better for us. Everyone should be worried about their spot specially the top order

Shouraubh, Shubhagauto and Rumman all will have a chance to play in the T20I WC if Pybus himself looks for alternatives to what he has been given in his maiden tour.

why people so interested in Shuvogoto Hom?

I don't really understand, is it any magical innings that he has played?

for the whole BPL he was super flop? I can't see anything.

please enlighten me about Shovogoto Hom, any political influence?

I. Always Respond to a 'Greeting':

"When greeted with a greeting, you shall respond with a better greeting or at least an equal one. GOD reckons all things." (4:86)

"O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to anyone who offers you a salutation: "Thou art not a believer!"..." (4:94)

II. Always Say 'Good' things:

"Do you not see that GOD has cited the example of a good word as a good tree whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches are high in the sky? It produces its crop every season, as designed by its Lord. GOD thus cites the examples for the people, that they may take heed." (14:24-25)

III. Be 'Humble', and speak 'Lightly':

"Walk humbly and lower your voice, the ugliest voice is the donkey's voice." (31:19)

IV. Invite to GOD with wisdom and kindness:

"Invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and kind enlightenment, and debate with them in the best possible manner. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who are the guided ones." (16:125)

"It was mercy from GOD that you became compassionate towards them. Had you been harsh and mean-hearted, they would have abandoned you. Therefore, you shall pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them. Once you make a decision, carry out your plan, and trust in GOD. GOD loves those who trust in Him." (3:159)

V. Be Kind to your parents:

"Your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship except Him, and your parents shall be honored. As long as one or both of them live, you shall never say to them, "Uff" (the slightest gesture of annoyance), nor shall you shout at them; you shall treat them amicably. And lower for them the wings of humility, and kindness, and say, "My Lord, have mercy on them, for they have raised me from infancy." (17:23-24)

VI. Suppress Anger & Forgive People:

"Who (the righteous) give to charity during the good times, as well as the bad times. They are suppressors of anger, and pardoners of the people. GOD loves the charitable." (3:134)

VII. Counter Evil with Good:

"Not equal is the good response and the bad response. You shall resort to the nicest possible response. Thus, the one who used to be your enemy, may become your best friend." (41:34)

"They steadfastly persevere in seeking their Lord, observe the Link (Salat), spend from our provisions to them secretly and publicly, and counter evil with good. These have deserved the best abode." (13:22)

VIII. Do NOT Say 'Bad' things:

"And the example of the bad word is that of a bad tree chopped at the soil level; it has no roots to keep it firm." (14:26)

IX. Do NOT be 'Arrogant' or 'Carefree':

"You shall not treat the people with arrogance, nor shall you roam the earth carefree. GOD does not like the arrogant showoffs." (31:18)

X. Do NOT engage in 'ignorant' talk:

"The servants of the Almighty are those who tread the earth gently, and when the ignorant speak to them, they only utter peace." (25:63)

XI. Do NOT Curse the Idolaters:

"And do not curse those who call on other than GOD, lest they blaspheme and curse GOD, out of ignorance. We have adorned the works of every group in their eyes. Ultimately, they return to their Lord, then He informs them of everything they had done." (6:108)

XII. Do NOT make fun of others, or call them names:

"O you who believe, no people shall ridicule other people, for they may be better than they. Nor shall any women ridicule other women, for they may be better than they. Nor shall you mock one another, or call each other names. Evil indeed is the reversion to wickedness after attaining faith. Anyone who does not repent after this, these are the transgressors." (49:11)

XIII. Do NOT be suspicious, or spy on one another, or backbite:

"O you who believe, if a wicked person brings any news to you, you shall first investigate, lest you commit injustice towards some people, out of ignorance, then become sorry and remorseful for what you have done." (49:6)

"O you who believe, you shall avoid any suspicion, for even a little bit of suspicion is sinful. You shall not spy on one another, nor shall you backbite one another; this is as abominable as eating the flesh of your dead brother. You certainly abhor this. You shall observe GOD. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful." (49:12)

XIV. Do NOT be 'Racist':

"O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant." (49:13)
You don't wanna go there with that insinuation, trust me. If by "political" you mean non sectarian in the sense that I believe, in total harmony with the values our country fought and stands for, people with ability should get a fair shake irrespective of other people's hatred and prejudices, then damn straight it's "political".

On topic: I've seen seen quite a bit of him over the past three years or so, I actually live here and go to local matches whenever I can, and found him to be a VERY special player.

Why?

Well, he rotates the strike on both sides of the wicket with great ease, runs well between the wickets, and can put the bad ball away with intelligence and authority. Switching gears is easy for him, and he's a clean and powerful hitter of the ball. His excellent temperament adds to all that, and the fact that he's a total outsider (outside the BKSP system), a diploma engineer accidentally discovered by Fahim Muntasir during a khyap match in Mymensingh, and has risen this far this quickly in organized cricket, shows that his ability is obvious to many people within the cricket fraternity as well. We still have people who are more interested in his natural ability, application and growth than religious bigotry. He will only get better with more games at the highest level, and contribute important runs to his country in the process.

He had a terrible BPL but generally speaking, he looks way too good to play just domestic cricket once you see him play live locally. He did well enough in his international debut to get an extended run but was dropped for reasons that obviously have nothing to do with his international performance. I don't think that's fair at all.

Internationally, he batted in just 3 innings, all against Zimbabwe:

-1st at bat in Harare: he scored 30 in 36 balls (SR 88.88) with just 3 boundaries before being run out by Mushfique who scored a 100 that day in a losing effort.

-2nd at bat in Bulawayo: he finished the game quickly with Shakib, scoring 35* in 40 balls (SR 87.7) with 6 boundaries in an authoritative victory for us. Here's the video (he starts batting from 15:29), see for yourself

-3rd at bat in Bulawayo: he scored 3 from 10 balls. Got bogged down due to some excellent bowling and wasn't patient enough. He mistimed his attempt to break free and was caught.

Not a bad maiden tour at all especially within the Bangladeshi context. Then he didn't bat in Chittagong before being dropped quite inexplicably. I don't think players should be dropped from the national team unless they fail in the national team after getting a fair shake.

Anyway, he's too good a player to be kept out of the team. I don't think he'll have to "revert" and grow a beard before catching RP's eye the way he has caught many of ours. Then again, some folks see only what they want to see through the lens of hatred and prejudice. Sadly, we failed to take care of them back in '71 when we had the chance.

Peace~

Indeed. I love his increased ability to covert biggish scores to 100s also and feel that we'll see a lot more of that. He continues to demonstrate the desire and the temperament to succeed that way, while we wait for others to turn that corner. Success seems to make him confident, not arrogant and carefree, because he's aware of his limitations at the moment and hauls @SS to work hard and overcome them. We're lucky to have him ...

49 from 30 from Nur gave Modon a respectable total.

To me he is the only spinner in the whole country who can actully bat. After Rafique who had nobody thus the stats of out tail enders are awful but i have hope on Nur...

Why on earth Naeem bats at 4? He is singlehandedly losing game after game for his team. And he is the captain...he has been awful for last several months including in BPL

Naeem gobbled up 62 deliveries for his 28. MSC was going well with around 4.5 rate and Naeem left around 40 overs around 134. He simply lost it. Why MSC continues with him is beyond me...

Looks like Nayeem has managed to carry his international form into the domestics as well. Now, that's what I call consistency.

Aumi can score runs in domestics. Didn't do badly in IC either before his shezda-mara 50 created reasonable expectations and he finally began to feel the pressure associated with the highest level. He couldn't hack it and looked like the proverbial fish out of water after that. I don't think he has what it takes to sustain an international career under a no-nonsense control freak like RP, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Shoummo on the other hand has great potential in terms of ability, but must consistently translate that into big scores in local cricket first before being considered in 3-5 years.

According to the scorecard they both faced more than 1 ball - so can't be golden duck.

^That's pretty good from our original "test class" batsman. I've seen 0 or 1 from 30 from him more than a dozen times in all levels, including a khyap match at the Moulvibazaar stadium a year ago. Rokibul is a regular goatlashing T20 specialist compared to him. Myshukur Rahman Riyal must be learning a lot from both.
