Squad for First test announced ; 4 new faces (Miraz, Shabbir, Nurul & Kamrul)

Big news is no Mosaddek. Shabbir gets the nod ahead of him, which I personally think is fair decision as Shabbir had fair of exposure at Nats level then Mosaddek. Top of that, Shabbir is physically stronger than any other player in the squad so that must have also played a part!!! unfortunate for Mosaddek to miss out.

Jubair dropped which was on the care due to his lack of commitment, etc.Not sure how Hom and SS made it yet again anyway, they both should be on the bench!!!

Miraz will debut in absence of Mosaddek for sure as there are 4/5 left handed batsmen in England team. But I would have taken him instead of Suvagata Hom.

Mosaddek needs to develop his game against Pace bowler. He is our future. He is miles ahead of Suvagata Home in spin bowling department alone.

Only two pacers so Shafiul and Kamrul Rabbi will play for sure. However, won't be surprise if they play SS as a pacer Allrounder that would also make our batting stronger

My words what a substandard squad.

Really, Sabbir, Soumya and Hom? The first 2 has a FC average below 35 the other is a domestic bully. Actually Hom is a better pick than Sabbir and Soumya because Hom is a regular offie.

Nurul Hasan deserves it. Miraz, I have been vocal about his inclusion and although he hasn't set the doomestics on fire(stil good FC record for an 18 year old) he is a proper off spinner and also a useful batsman.

Kamrul Islam Rabbi? Not so sure.

Overall, a very ordinary looking test side. Ideally, Taskin and Fizz should be leading the bowling once fit. We can then even play an extra pacer in foreign turf.

I don't care what exactly Sabbir and Soumya have done that they recieved callup for a test match, when Mosaddek and Shahriar Nafees have been performing in domestics.

Pacers look weak but that was expected.

I think hom is being picked for his offies, nasir can bowl offies as well but he's really more of a limited overs bowler...not that I'm necessarily saying hom should've been selected.

This Kamrul Islam Rabbi have much poorer FC average(40) comparing to Al-Amin(27), Subashis Roy(28) or even the atrocious Abul Hasan(33).

Regarding number#7, Nurul's average is much higher(41.81) comparing to Sabbirs'(34.71). Nurul played more FC matches than Sabbir(49 vs 35).

Nasir > Hom (Hom is a player for the prehistoric times. Case closed.)
Mossadek > Sabbir (So Mossadek avgs 70 in fc yet gets in our t20 and odi side and not the test side..)
Al Amin > Kamrul (Al Amin is experienced and uncanny and what i've seen Kamrul is poor stats prove this)
Nafees > SS (SS cant walk into the ODI side yet where he sucks the most in longer format gets picked)

Happy with inclusion of Nurul and Miraz.

If Mosaddek should have been selected for any format it should have been Tests.

I guess Kamrul got in for his old ball skills. I hope he will do better than Rubel in this aspect.
