Normally I have couple of concern the way BCB select the players for practice matches, but I actually like this team combination and choice of players selected by BCB for a change.

Think each team get one day or 90 overs to bat.

I think its just a 90 over 2 day ODI match. There may not even be a result. We'll see batters retire out once they score 50+ and get a few balls in the middle.
Will be good to see what the bowlers bring to the table. I hope that neither Rubel or Al Amin are being considered for the Tests. My ideal bowling lineup for the Tests would be:
Shahid
Taskin
Taijul
Jubair
Shakib
Riyad/Mosaddek
If Shahid is unfit, I'd select Ebadat without hesitation. Hope the BCB has checked his action, although as the Taskin case proves, if the authorities want someone banned, even a clean action won't stop them.

Ebadat won't survive the load of a test match. Better go with Taskin Rubel Alamin

My guess - players who playing in the first match only have higher chance to play in the Test match, as they will have two extra days to rest and prepare before the 1st Test.
Among the pacers, I will prefer Shafiul over Rubel or AA, as he actually gets to swing the ball. As for his partner, imo, Abu Jayed (another decent swing bowler) should be given a serious consideration. In reality, Rubel prolly will get the nod, given he regains his full speed by next week.
I hope they will not risk Taskin for another injury at this point of his career. Won't mind to see him in consideration in NZ, but not in hot & humid Chittagong.

Yes, Shafiul is definitely ahead of Rubel and AA who are toothless in Tests. Plus, Shafiul can bat and has a Test 50 to his name. It would help to lengthen our tail which are otherwise a bunch of #11s.

^^ Shahid out with injury, from what I hear. Bowled 2 overs for Dhaka Metro in last NCL round, then gone again.

Why is also momimul not there?
If he is our test specialist, then should get some practice against a quality bowling attack

Looks like they've gone for more of a developmental team but you have a valid point imo, it's been over a year since mominul has played an international match.

Tasamul Haque is unfortunate to miss out on a place ahead of Tanvir Haider.

Tanvir did well in HP practice matches, henceforth included here.
Tasamul is a much better player against pace though.

I had same thought...... mominul would have likes a knock before the tests........ Surely he will be the one down batsman in tests.

Why is Robiul not being guided/looked after ?
He was so impressive against Zim tests... Some of us thought we found a McGrath.
