Default Too much offspin.

There needs to be some variation in the bowling as our bowling is too predictable. Get rid of some of the off spinners, try to develop some leg spin . Pace Bowling also needs major work.

Kapali is the only decent leggie we have and we didn't select him in the 15. I think the selectors are more to blame than anyone, rafiqul alam is the ehad of selectors I believe

if the best bowlers of ur countries are Off spinners you have to play them, unless u have a quality variety.

now our best bowler are SLA. now if u look for replacements u will find more SLA's. noor hossain is a leggie , very promising. we have mahmudul hasan as a right hand Off-spiner. but is mahmudul or noor matured enough. also there is nasir hossain

and about kapali ...... he is more of a part timer, and we treat our partimers as full timers. the likes of naeem and riadh .... we feel they can give us 10 overs regularly which is not true. kapali falls into same category.

How many genuine leggies are there in world cricket atm? It is not as simple as just developing one.

Kapali wasn't a part timer initially, I have seen very few part timers with hat tricks, but now he is a part timer i guess because we didn't nurture his talent. He may not be the best but his part time leggies wouldn't be amiss in a team full of part time batsmen and ashraful-we have spinner all rounders-4 of them and a guy called ashraful who claims to be one. Kapali if given the exposure and time I think could have become a decent spinner. Wrist spin is an art that's harder to muster and our younger kids find it easier to bowl finger spin which is why they get into it. They don't see any BD players who are leggies. I think Kapali should be in the squad at least for variation.

Thats a fare point... Leggies are a rare breed but its equally astonishing that we haven't had a single specialist leg spinner in our cricket... this current overdose of SLAs will not work forever... infact it is not working even now... the powerful sides are still tonking us to 280-300 on a mirpur pitch where we cannot score beyond 230...

both asraful and kapali actually started as Leg Spinners and decent Batters. but later there batting talent was more expressed and there bowling talents started to fade.

I know ashraful started out as a leggie, but kapali still continued on with it and was a better leggie, getting a hat trick is no mean feat and is an indication that there is some talent there-I think that if someone has that fundamental ability to bowl legspin that player should be further developed. Kapali's legspin was far better than ashraful's and the selectors should give instructions-look we need a leggie, so work on it. A player needs to know what the selectors are looking for in order to transform their style or make adaptations. Our selectors don't seem to be too concerned regarding team balance. KP was an offie to start with then became a batsman, if someone has that starting base then he can through practice and a bit of guidance make it through. Sehwag and a lot of indian players learnt cricket watching tv. Our players could try and learn something from the likes of warne etc. My arguments seem a bit farfetched perhaps, but we can't die wondering.

Ashraful bowls offspin now, which goes to show perhaps the lack of sophistication in our spinners who haven't developed the variation that the mendises harbhajans and muralis have done. even herath has improved. Vettori has avriations in pace and flight as does afridi

even the off spinners don't have much variety in their bowling.the arm ball, little change of pace.that's about it.
