I'll trade couple of ODI W's for this 2-0 Test win. #issssshhiray!

Hathuri talk came after not improving Mush's tactics session to session. And not letting Sabbir take charge last test. Of course he said something @ tea in this game:

(Or you can just give me all the credit for getting off the stream and not watching the game live at tea)

You know, every time some of us question something and some of you don't and something else happens, it doesn't make those some you "right." You aren't even invovled in it. Give it a rest. It's becoming a fashionable thing in BC and it's already getting very old.

Haturi and his team are responsible for many many superb decisions such as drafting in Mustafizur despite him being young and inexperienced in domestics (many thought it was too early for Mustafiz to play international cricket) and also drafting in Soumya who many thought was statistically not good enough for the national team.

On top of that he molded Mahmudullah into the batsmen he is now. He also was the one who put Sabbir as no. 3 batsmen in T20s even tho Shakib has good stats at no. 3. Give credit where its due but Haturi has been a fantastic coach.

And i haven't even talked about his methods of coaching, ive only merely stated his tactics and team selection. I know people who have worked with Haturi and they say he is the type of coach to "tell it as it is", no bs given he doesn't beat around the bush.

That style makes him very upfront and honest and it has clearly rubbed off on the whole team as it now seems the team bats very freely in ODIs and even someone like Imrul Kayes looks much more confident and at the same time very aggressive and not afraid to go for his strokes.

All in all give the credit where its due. Mehedi did his job. Shakib did his job. Tamim did his job. And most importantly Haturi certainly did his job.
Haturi has been fantastic no doubt. Deserves credit

Why was this match thread un-stickyed?

Please leave it on sticky for the rest of the week.

Anyone who agrees with me, please put a +1...

Not all games! Only the close ones. I can recall me resuming Asia Cup didn't help. Resuming the last game didn't help. In fact, now that I think about it, almost all of our historic wins came when I went into hiding or wasn't watching live. (I'll list em later. This theory might be highly true)

I checked this game twice after tea. Saw 3rd wicket fall. Then the 6th. Then I put my phone in between the cracks of my couch and was planning on not checking the score until the sun came out, well after stumps. I was sooo tempted to watch this. And this is after me promising not to be superstitious in this game. And I kept to that promise until they went 100/0. All **** broke loose then. I dug back up all the superstitions.

Thankfully got a couple of texts to join the party!

Bangla-desh!
Bangla-desh!
Bangla-desh!

Someone give me some long highlights! I wanna see Riyad/Sabbir when Bairstow/Stokes came in! Or Shakib Salute

If Kamrul can hit more sixes like that why stop at NZ let's take him to champions trophy as well

Bhai, congratulations for match thread and historic win. Perhaps it's time for you to take Moeen Ali or Adil Rashid's pic (only if you are bored with your present profile pic)

^ Congrats! Your first assignment should be to report this win, thoroughly in a one-hour special primetime Sportscenter.

Right - I am so happy we won but I have a few complaints/questions? Why was Kamrul selected? Why did we not select mashrafe surely his body would have lasted 8 overs over the 2 innings, better batsman/fielder and an inspiration.

Ok it could be that Mortaza is not long term plan for tests? why was Taskin not selected surely he could have bowled 8 overs ove the 2 innings and gain some experience?

I just do not get it !!

So Bangladesh and England basically switched spots.
They started off the day dropping some catches, missing some stumping chances, bad reviews, not reviewing the outs, losing all the reviews, dropping more catches. Then they start the chase all under control and collapsed for 60 odd for 10.

It feels so ****ing good to be on the other side of this!

Cook surviving two reviews.
Stokes surviving one review.
Stokes getting dropped.

I'm surprised all those moments didn't make our players go into their shells and start a panic. The crowd really kept the players energized. Would love to see the next test at Mirpur in front of our ODI-like crowd. It will happen now!

After witnessing years of frustration from fans here, I'm very glad to finally see y'all celebrate this historic win! They were on track and now they've finally sealed it. Could have won the first one too, but ah, baby steps! Well played BD. And Miraz, you little beaut.

^ I was wondering what would it take for some of these members to come back. A test win I suppose.

Welcome back! I feel alone. I don't know who any of these people are.

Haha, just too busy man. Chained by capitalism, serving the corporates, etc. The usual.

Anyway I do follow BD cricket extensively, just don't post much is all. Good to see you, DS.
