Kenya secure win against hapless Bangladesh in Twenty20 warm up

A disciplined Kenya has secured their first win against Bangladesh in recent times in the second round of the warm up match at Willowmoore park in Benoni today (Sunday).
A captain’s knock from veteran Steve Tikolo inspired Kenya to reach the victory target in penultimate ball of the match losing only 4 wickets after restricting Bangladesh to a meager 116. Tikolo hammered a 28 ball 36 with the help of five boundaries and guided the well paced run chase by Kenya.

This is a terrible news and performance.

It's a disappointing result, but it's a practice match and the loss means our weaknesses are more exposed, and team management will have some time before the World Cup to sort them out.

I am disheartened but not demoralized.

What a shame, how are we going to perform well against West Indies and South Africa, we played well against Pakistan, not so good against Uganda (!) and we lost to Kenya being all out under 120

what is next for us?

I am so disheartened since this morning. I can imagine the way our cricketers are feeling to think about where they failed. Is this the same team who played in the world cup? I just cant analyse how they were beaten by the same team that they defeated a week ago, I put it down to complacency, and the fact that Kenya seized the opportunity, and just garnished a win.
BD's bowling was excellent, one has to give them credit to restrict Kenya in 20 overs, with kenya barely winning.
Kenya put up a courageous fight against the WI, they made 155 runs in 20 overs against stiff bowling. BD should have taken note of that.
In today's warm up matches, West Indies beat New Zealand and South Africa beat Australia. These are the 2 teams that Bangladesh are playing against. Both teams have excellent batsmen and bowlers who perform consistently. One can never expect this from BD, we have to expect the unexpected and pray and hope for the best.
I dont know if I will watch these matches, too scared.

Hmmm. When I log on for a short period of time, some bad news throws me off for the next couple of days until when I log back in. Oh well, I just hope this was a wakeup call.

In batting, Forhad, Kapali and Sakib is waste. We could have played Zunaid.

A big big test for Kapali to keep his place in the New Zealand bound squad. He must produce one good innings in the remaining two matches.

Sakib's decline is really hurting a lot.

This BD team needs a new set-up asap. A new permenant coach, asistants and really should be organised so that new goals and objectives are laid out. Currently the team is in a mess with interim coach who in my opinion is failing to keep the team as a unit. specially to allow up to an hour in batting for each player in the nets is not helping as we know after a certain period of time players dont bat sensibly in nets and slog every thing come their way. I hope new set-ups and strategies are laid down soon. Jamie siddons must be appointed ......

This is only a practice match....BD must have learnt their lessons by now I hope...if not by the Uganda match...

Ash should concentrate on his ballting rather than experimenting with his bowling. By bowling 4 overs each and every games he pretty much shut down any oportunity of of bolwing Aftab, Alok (does he bowls any longer ??), and other parttimers.

Ash can make a big difference with his bat not with his bowl. So he need to concentarte his energy accordingly...last few games ... looks like he is struggling a lot with his bat.... thats not a good sign.
