So we are 6 down and yet we are 124 behind. What moronic batting to finish the day.
1st Culprit: Imrul Kayes. 3 overs to go ...
2nd Culprit: Captain, Coach, Team Manager, Taijul fans who think he can bat. Why not Miraz if you hell bent to send a nightwatchman? Mushi couldn't come and face for three overs? How taxing would that be?
3rd Culprit: Sabbir. Knowing we just lost two wickets and just two plus overs...
4th Culprit: The mother of all Culprits, Shakib Al Hasan. Whatever happened behind the close door, you can not play like this and hurt the team. I thought you played for Bangladesh and not Sri Lanka.
I have no problem not giving these boys NOC for the money making leagues. None.
And we are 6 down.

Taijul can slog well, not nightwatchmen material, non of the tail is, only rabbi and taskin has shown more effort and application of late
Kayes misread length of the bowl, it happens, but no reason others couldn't see out the day
We are 5 down instead of 3, should have sent in Mehedi if mushfiq felt too tired
Sabbir dismissal was a joke.
Shakibs batting was mind boggling, I can look over getting out to a stupid shot by him, due to his overall performance and technical deficiencies in defence, but this had nothing to do with that, what was he doing slogging in the air, he shouldn't be playing those shots regardless of time of day in tests
And really mominul got dropped after 2 bad games?
What about his 50 vs England that helped us win the game, what about his 50 that saw off the nz pitch that was all grass for 1 and a half days

Who sent the nightwatchman? before they send him in, was he up for it or they force him to go there, that makes lot difference.

If coach asks you to go out and bat, you don't say no

But before you send him you have to know if he is up for the job, otherwise first ball duck.

BAN in Test
We are playing our 100th test and yet not have an 11-player test set. There needs to be 7-8 set players for most conditions, but we often fail to recognize them (Tamim, Mominul, Mushy, Shakib, Mehedi, Taskin & Fizz). So, we dropped Mominul and Taskin. Now we're thinking of dropping Shakib. Many here even suggested to drop Tamim. If we keep shuffling 5-6 in every match till we win a test match/series, I'm afraid that's not going to happen. Tests cannot be won with individual record, otherwise Lara or Tendulkar would have won lot more matches for their country.
The fact is that we lack in "Test Temperament". We can neither bat or bowl well for consecutive 2-3 sessions, let alone 4-5. Among the current lot, only Tamim and Mushy have better technique. add Mominul here; we will have 3 test batsmen. We need 2 more.
Imrul can contain the temperament, but lacks in technique and consistency. SS and Sabbir are suited for limited over games with their aggressive nature. However, I want Sabbir to play tests regularly. Although he is too flashy, he has somewhat good technique and I believe he can grow test temperament with time. Mehedi is proving well as an all-rounder which is a big advantage for BAN. SS can stay as long as he can deliver. And our keeper hasn't been fixed yet. Moreover, our test captaincy, field placements, bowling changes - almost all fields are questionable. In a 5-day match and 3 matches in a series, you require these all settled before going to the field (few things can change during the game).
Now comes Shakib. To me, he was always a bowling all-rounder. I expect a 40-50 and 2-3 wickets from him in every innings. He never had a proper batting technique anyway. But he used to be a smart bowler. Too much arrogance and pride being No. 1 all-rounder and playing regularly in T20 PL's is perhaps spoiling him. But since we're still shuffling players to set our test squad, I don't think he should be dropped right now. But if he causes problems in dressing rooms and directly affects teamwork; he needs to face disciplinary actions.
It's high time we came up with 8 regular test players: 4 batsmen, 2 seamers, 1 spinner and 1 keeper. The other 3 spots (1 bat, 1 bowl and 1 all-rounder) can be open for any potential test player or a comeback.
Just sharing my thoughts.

All this idiot got in and throw away the wicket. None of them made big looks like after 20-30 runs they lose concentration and its easy wicket for opposition.

I know poeple are angry to Kayedge but still he was better then mini, if mini was there we would have been 8 down already. The way mominul handles spin it is just nightmare. But Sabbir to me not a test material but whom would you put there if it was me I would have brought Nayeem in place of Sabbir.

Never liked this player, never will. Needs to stay miles away from LOI side for sure. Averages 27 or 28 in test, some people think he is good because he had 150 on the flattest wicket in BD, and some partnerships with Tamim. Now, that Sarkar is least giving solid starts and to be fair Soumya he used up 120plus balls and wasn't over attacking, thats over 20 overs batting, need some sort mindset for that so he has got an B+ from me. But, because he was so well set, knew the wicket so well, should have got his first test ton. Sabbir came out, flashing his way, dude your batting at 4 not 7, and not in t20. Jam that hype, stop playing for yourself, did you not see how chandimal batted? was u not at the ground or was your mind elsewhere?
|
I hate khadege more then you.... this **** always got out strange way. U talking there best bowlers from the middle stamp , where 3 overs left for the day ? from 192/2 to 214/5.... pathetic gone case.
