I became familiar with Banglacricket more than 2 years ago. I was working in a small Motorola research project. One of my Venezuelan friend also working in that lab used to visit BBC ManU(606) message board. After seeing him I became a member of TMS message board. Someone from BC gave a link of this site at that time although in TMS you are not allowed to do that. They usually remove web link immediately. Fortunately I got that link and found BC.Thanks to that guy who gave that link. I forgot his name though. After browsing few months as a non member of BC I finally had decided to be a member of BC.

I used to frequently visit a West Indian forum when our caribbean tour was on last year...But u know...I was finding it pretty tough to be all alone amongst all of 'em(though they were quite kind).....Then I started searching for my very own forum & got more than wot i expected & rest is history....

I don't even remember how i found it. Itz been long. I remember that once we didn't have to have id to post our opinion. We just choose a name and post what we had to say, no password nothing. Good old days.

It was really interesting for me. I was searching for "SAYINGS OF PAGLA BABA" in Google and voila! I got the link to banglacricket.com. It was Jan. 2005 and the height of cricket passion (BD vs Zimbabwe) :-)

Tehsin and I used to be involved with the alochona group from it's inception in 1998 (alochona.org) and from the early days of alochona I followed tehsin's cricket site with great interest. Later when we had the alochona magazine I used to write for the technichal section and Tehsin was the sports section expert. I remember in '99 the day when BD beat pakistan there was a flurry of emails among alochona admins as the match progressed and we were all praying for PAK to lose wickets in their innings. This was the earliest crude form of match thread I could remember and it was funny as hell. Later I had many nights of fun and pain and anguish in this site's match threads. This site took the cricket experience to a whole new level.
I would say the last year and half has seen an explosive growth. It is now undoubtedly the biggest and best cricket site for Bangladesh cricket on the web. And surpisingly most of it's power came from this message board.

"surpisingly most of it's power came from this message board. "
Surprisingly ? I knew that this was the best way I'd get people involved.
The last year and half has been amazing. Chinaman marshalled the forum, Zunaid/Raj bhai and co. (nasif, ehsan, arnab among others) redesigned the looks/content and a host of talented individuals listed here made BC what it is today. These folks don't know when to quit so we'll keep bringing more to you.

I'm pretty sure I didn't type Bangladesh Cricket, actually come to think of it I think I typed in Cricket forum ( http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...e+Search&meta=) I'd say that is probably what happened since Banglacricket comes up 6th or 7th

i was looking for anything related to bd-namibia cricket match in a meta search. and (surprisingly many of us found BC exactly @that time.. can see that by reading some of the above posts) got the home of banglacricket.i still can remember the fabulous efforts of Chinaman bhai trying to get contact of his source in namibia & let us know the score in every few minutes.
my story of being glued to bc started from the moment on..

ust a random thought. BC has grown huge in terms of members here. We also have a lot of guests visiting who are not registered members. I was wondering how the members stumbled upon BC. I think I saw the link somewhere in facebook. Thats how I first came into BC. How about others ?

Funny enough I don't remember, might have been redirected from another message board or something, but I do remember I first registered here during the Pakistan away series in 2003.
