Default Why was Rubel Hossain dropped?

He's played well minus a few mistakes given the bowling. He needs to be out there and play in these matches for learning and gain exerience.I am honestly hopeless in BCB. Instead of dropping guys like Rokibul and Mushfiqur "Dot Ball" Rahim who have done absolutely nothing to earn a spot on odi roster we dropped one of our better pacers.

Why wasn't he included in the WC then?

Aussie series is more important than WC at home? If you do not want to take risk on his knees in the WC then you how can you take that risk in a Australia series. Moronic selection committee to say the least. Do not try to defend them.

Half fit Mash gave you an early break-through that we dearly missed in the WC. Rubel is good for middle overs and end overs. He should have played I think. We should always go with 3 pacers.

Catch 22 situation here. If you play 3 pacers one of Shuvo, Ryad and Rok has to be dropped. Sorry, Rok would never have been dropped after his 60 in the practice match. So its between Shuvo and Mullah. Take your pick.

If it was me I would have sent Mash to Australia (for treatment).

Ever consider the possibility that maybe it was Rubel himself who didn't want to play? Maybe the laans was so good he didn't want to wait till the innings break?

mashrafe is history. why can bangladesh cricket not move on from this expired cricketer?

even a fit mashrafe should not replace rubel, maybe he can replace shafiul.

i wud say, atm, we hav slot for 2 pacers, and its a toss up between all three equally. shafiul will be in the squad because of his world cup heroics. mashrafe will always be preferred over any other pacer. and he can still bowl inspiring spells. that leaves poor rubel out.

but rubel actually has been the most consistent performer. i just hope he does a match winning spell soon, and then he wont be dropped at the drop of a penny in the future. it will be an even harder choice if he gets a match winning spell.

We have plenty of world class spinners. We don't need Rubel
