That was a remarkable innings on so many levels. Scoring a 100 batting at no.8! That was a pretty clean innings too. A lot of people were starting to rule him out in favor of Nayeem. I guess thats out of question now!

I would say it still depends on the conditions - overseas where you may likely to pick a single specialist spinner besides Shakib, Nayeem should be still the preferred option.

Congrats Miraz on his maiden Test/FC century! Apparently he has been working hard on his batting under guidance of Mushfiq. You could actually see lots of similarities between his batting style yesterday and that of Mushfiq.

Excellent innings. Congrats to Miraz.

I feel Nayeem was instrumental for Miraz to get there. The look at Nayeem's face when he got out, said, "I am so sorry!!I didn't stay till the job was done."

Good to see batsmen Miraz. We also need a fast bowling allrounder like Saifuddin for Test only.

This is what experience seniors can do to the juniors. We were lacking this knowledge pass on from the beginning of our test journey. Every now and then we would reboot bring in new set.

Well done, Tamim, Mushfiq, and Shakib on guiding Miraz. Well done Miraz on recognizing the favor and being humble.

Miraz developing is absolutely important for us especially in the future, when we need a solid offie cum solid batsman. Gives us a lot of balance which will be particularly important when Shakib finally decides to call it a day.

There was a time India at home played 5 batsman then ashwin at 6 and and a wicket keeper batsman at 7, followed by 4 bowlers.

India had enough trust on ashwins batting prowess so that he was batting at 6 before the WK.... Who also is good batsman.

Now, we already have a good all-rounder in shakib...... But may be once we don't have shakib anymore...... মেহেদী can step up. At least in tests at homs
