If management had any other player to replace him with then they would have already. He has been playing in all the u19 games last year even with that sr of his, so clearly they are happy with the strategy and style or there is no other player to replace him with.

We are talking about u19 team here where most of them are still unproven and growing, how come we came to conclusion that "there is no other player to replace him with". That is an absurd assumption. You never know about replacement unless you try.

Now it may be true that the coach (Mizanur Rahman Babul) may have misguided him and encouraged him to play the way he played so far, but this kind of play will take us to the gutter against stronger team in semi-final and final. And when we do that, i.e lose due to slow RR, I will blame 100% to coach, Mizanur Rahman Babul, with the assumption that coach encourage this kind of strategy for him. And he should be sacked.

Yeah I feel as though that article by Isam was more of an attempt to defend this guy's approach. The team management really need a wake-up call if they believe Saif Hassan's sluggish approach will win us games. We'll never be able to exceed 250 if this dude eats up 100 balls for his 50.

even if there is no other option available still shouldn't pick him... play an extra bowler or even only a fielder is ok...even batting with 10 batsman is better then letting saif bat

Doesn't even realize Head Coach is watching and probably scratched him off already.

Is this kid related to Anamul? Shows up in useless games in domestic and can't hold a bat when there's half an ounce of pressure on him...

Great way to insult Anamul. Anamul despite his sharthopor cricket had 5 times more shots in his armoury. Also exceptional hand-eye coordination.

As for pressure, Anamul has scored some run in some pressure games for Bangladesh. Not a benchmark though. TBH we don't have too many big match players. Tamim chokes, Anamul chokes too. Mominul failed in WC as well. Mushy and Shakib are the ones with nerves. Nasir was once a a player for difficult circumstances.

Saif is far worse than Belim. Belim played with a lot of purpose during an era where batting was difficult and Bangladesh mostly used to to suffer from collapses. This is an era of flat tracks, and our U-19 team is arguably one of the best in the tournament. As per Manjrekar and Russel, Bangladesh are one of the favourites

0x5 is 0..the difference is the next generation of keepers which include Shanto, Soumya, Miraz you will see are fearless and are simply not consistent chokers..they love the challenge when the pressures on.

Saif is a bright young lad. Knows pretty good English, so must be quite educated too. Time for a career change perhaps.

Different players have different roles in the side. You can't compare by any means necessary. Anamul is in an absolute mental block right now, but otherwise he has shown plenty of aggression and fearlessness. Compare Soumya and Anamul's T20 record you will see who is the better T20 player. However, no doubt Anamul is mediocre and has technical difficulties.

But Anamul was a very hard worker, he could play all kinds of shots and play at different positions. What on Earth is Saif doing? Anamul, Liton, Soumya, Nurul they all have scored a huge amount of runs. All I see Saif doing is tuk tuking his way to a defeat.

Screw whatever plan the management says regarding Saif. Play second fiddle, laying a foundation and ensuring wickets don't fall is the lamest bs I've heard. Almost botched a chase of 212 by hogging up practically 4 overs of doing nothing and getting dismissed leaving us with a score 18 after 10 overs

Saif hassan prolly knows someone high up in the BCB. How on earth did this guy even get into the team. Even a traffic cone would have better strike rate.

at least a traffic cone doesn't miss a straight ball on stump after having been there 40 minutes!

Joyraz is a opener. He opened in domestic cricket and was the opener in last U19 WC.
So drop Saif for Hayat (middle order bat).

Open with Pinak and Joyraz, Nazmul at 3, Zakir at 4, Miraz at 5, Hayat at6, Saifuddin at 7 and Saeed at 8. That's damn long batting with a very strong batting unit

He is indeed the main threat of us being in the final or even winning it. It seems everybody understands that. Its so obvious. I wonder what team mgt's plan about him.

according to Isam and other u-19 players, this kid has shots and is aggressive. I think its the coach and mgmt who is forcing him to play this way. being so young he will exactly what he is asked to do..

I dony understand their excuse. They say he holds one end up. 1. Why do we need to when our batting hasnt got bowled out in the tournament. 2. With all that intent he still gets out cheaply.
