Official USA Supporters Thread
Considering theres one for Germany, I figured I'd create one for the country a sizable portion of BCers call home.
Mark your calendars. June 12th is the day England is embarrassed. Lets see how the soccer hooligans react to that
USA! USA! USA!

Go USA go...
I have a huge soccer complex from walking distance from my home. there must be 30 fields with flood lights and boys and girls playing starting from age 10. but failed to see a single poster on WC
Anyway I still support USA until they face Brazil.

I'm surprised by all the attention this World Cup is getting here, at least in Boston. Practically every commercial on TV involves soccer... Soccer jerseys everywhere I look on the street... I've never seen anything like it. Definitely a big step up from the '06 WC.
Who knows? Maybe we'll see soccer compete with the big three american sports 10 years from now...
They'll have to put up a better show than the two tied games today though. Americans HATE tied games...

Ah crud, no Donnovan magic tonight. But he had created some great crosses which Altidore failed to convert. We got next two games to fine tune the passings.

Jozy should have gone for the Far Post instead of blasting it.
Next Game no need to play Findley, Play Jozy and Deuce up front & play Torres in the Midfield

I'm happy with the result..England looked the better team but we played a good game today and even had a chance to win..the english experts were saying how we could not defend against rooney..he didn't seem like anything special..so credit to our defense..now we can't sto here..we have to move on and beat slovenia and algeria now..

They've got to win this group somehow. Otherwise, they'll have to face Germany, and they looked pretty amazing today.
Still, was kind of fun watching Australia on the other side of a blowout.
If only we could see that more often in cricket...

doesn't seem to hard to win the group now that we did our job and tied England..we have 2 make sure we beat Slovenia AND Algeria or else we dont have a chance..honestly speaking Slovenia and Algeria didn't look to be very threatening but then again as we all know anything can happen in tournaments..1 bad game and that's it..but I'm confident that we'll come up as winners in both the games and we have 2 hope that England doesn't kill either of those teams..

Algeria should be more of a threat than Slovenia. As an England supporter, I'd be happy to get a 1-0 win against them, however, they did beat Egypt to world cup qualification, so no slouches!

Well, you'd have a 1-0 win against the USA too, but you got robbed by Rob. Or I should say Robbed.

Inshallah it is USA's day tomorrow. 1-0 win against Algeria should do it. Hopefully England doesn't do great against Slovenia.
Lets go to round of 16.

it will be important for USA to start at high tempo......
algeria are good at pressing and closing down and they do it very high up the pitch......
USA need to get an early goal
