Bowling or Balling?
Hey guys, I just want to know why the term for bowling in some parts of Asia is called balling .
Is it a linguistic problem?
Would love to hear from people who are familiar with it...
Thanks

I know what balling is,..., like Ballers.
Could be that both Bowl and Ball sound similar when spoken and may have given its own masala when spoken in the region mentioned.
More info needed though. Are the coaches familiar with this?

I am more for balling than bowling. Bowling is something old folks do in the village green. Bat..batting...batter. Ball...balling...baller. Simple.
But, I am certainly not for swim. It is most definitely swing.

Growing Never heard the word "batter". It was Always batsman. They came to US. Found out batter is used in Baseball.
Now even cricket commentators say Batters. I cringe!!!
Balling is used for Basketball here. He is a Baller (street talk). In our part, Baller is just poor English and not knowing the difference. In Cricket "Bowler" is the word.

"Losing" or "loosing"? This one drives me absolutely nuts.
