Mustafeezorrro gets Jadduu...
Quote:
Mustafizur Rahman to Jadeja, OUT, Jadeja picks out mid-off. Full on middle, slower cutter. Mid-off was inside the circle. Jadeja was aiming to go over him. He can only mis-hit it to Bhuvneshwar there

Now Gujarat are getting close to 130...Warner's drop of Finch might be the turning point of this game...

Finch brings up his 50 off the last ball of the inning. They finish on 126/6 off their allotted overs. Bhuvi and Nehra started the chokehold of the Lions' innings with opening maidens...Warner's main weapon, Mustafizur struck in his first over. He would return in the 17th over to dismiss Jadeja. 14 dot balls for him...
An excellent display of bowling by Sunrisers..Let's see how they reply to the target..

And the man of the match is not Nah-mon Ojha as I predicted....Bhuvi picks up the award.
A chase that never looked challenging....Shikhar played sheet anchor role and took it home.

MOM should have been Dhawan in my opinion. Played risk free shots and carried his team home in a tricky wicket.

Because may be Shakib is not as talented as Mustafizur.
Mustafizur is extra ordinary
On other hand Shakib's case is more on how to perform well against the oppositions even with limited talent like limited shot selection, limited turn on ball. And he (used to) does that by the ability to find the gaps quickly, well timed scoops, using pace variation in bowling, arm balls etc. He's cool headed customer obviously talented but not an exceptional talent.
And players like Shakib find it hard finding form after losing the charm once.
But he'll regain form soon because he plays for Bangladesh and here you get lot of time to regain form in national team. Cause in Bangladesh senior players get free ticket in the squad. Like Tamim didn't perform regularly in T20Is for long time. He had a poor ave with a strk rate of 100. After trying hard and hard at last just this year I have seen him performing regularly in the format for the first time.
And at least Shakib's loss of form isn't as bad as Tamim's one was.

Well said, Anik.
Sunrisers' XI looks better now with Kane and Yuvraj healthy. They now should drop Henriques for Morgan or Boult and seal a top-4 spot. Pick the good batsman or the good bowler depending on conditions. Henriques can neither bat nor bowl well.

Time will answer this question. Shakib is an allrounder and he contributes with his bat. SA lost Kallis and understood how valuable he was. In LOIs, batting has more to do with winning matches.

Sunrisers could actually really do with a player like Shakib. They don't really have any decent spinner. And Shakib when on form, will add to the batting depth.
But with the 2 Bengali's playing in IpL in different teams I have more added interest in the IPL overall.
I hope in coming years likes of Tamim, shabbir, riyad, Taskin, sarkar can make the cut for IPL franchises.
With fiz doing really well, and Shakib having done really well, and moderetly well this season, I can't see Indians continually rejecting us, as performances speak volumes. Players like henriques, lynn? Wth they doing here.

Time for sunrisers to drop Moises and play Boult.
Four man left-arm pacers attack, along with Bhuvi..that's enough for a rampage on batting orders of other teams....they can mix with spin from Karn Sharma, Yuvraj, and Kane (is he still ban from bowling?)
