An imaginary SAARC team
The team of peace. The team of SAARC. .
Tendulkar
Youhana
Dravid (capt.)
+Sangakarra
Inzaman
Razzak
Shoaib Akhtar
Mohd. Rafique
C. Vaas
M Sami/Z Khan can opt here.
Murali
This is an ODI team. I only forsee a ODI match against rest of world type hype matches to generate publicity.
Also, have included 2 spinners and 2 pacers. Would vary depending on venue. As for Sami, could be rotated by anyone else, tried to maintain the Pakistani pace attack. Cheers.

Not sure if you suggest the line up for a test or ODI team. But one thing I am sure about Mohammed sami, who can no way be in the first 11 slot. He is the most over rated bowler with lack of consistant. Again, line and length, but not pace and pace alone can be a decisive factor to be a good bowler. This so called speedstar was smacked all over the ground in NZ tour, and the same happened in today's match in Karachi.

I think Habibul_fan has the best team on current form. It is unfortunate but, there is simply no way to squeeze in a Bangl;adeshi player in at the moment be it Basher, Rafique or Mashud.

Bashar on current form definately not! Even when Laxman can't make it
Rafique...no way...Murali, Kumble and Bhajji....no chance
Mashud...slim chance but Sangakkara is much better batsman and keeper

Given that Dravid keeps wicket regularly, Mashud is quite a long shot as well...

well team gula dekhlam but it would have been better if everyone specifies who is the captain. and also i dont think jaysuriya deserves to be in there anymore. he is just a big flop now a days. and i also dont see how upol chandana goes there while there is kumble or murali or even rafique.

Captain would be Jayasuriya. Appointing either an Indian or a Pakistani captain would trigger another Siachin Glacier encounter. In the absence of Tallekaratne, Sanath would be the politically correct choice. Ganguly would be the cricketing choice.
Golai baba (Inzamam) simply does not have the requisite hours in as captain of his own team to take on a 'rest of the world?' team.
Where is Kerry Packer anyway? A 'asia/australasia' vs. the 'world', series would have been fun.

Dravid can't keep it tests. He's not fit enough, he cramps and gets de-hydrated keeping in ODI's!

Sangakarra will probably make it into the list of underated players( there should be a list), in the world now, a shame.
And when did Dravid become unfit, he looked fine the other day?
