I just wonder why he lost his Yorkers? He used to bowl two varieties of Yorkers to good effect. I can understand why he lost his pace or why he can't swing it both ways, but why did he ditch the Yorkers?

I think its a confidence issue along with his action being changed
allowing the coach to change his action was the biggest blunder in BCB's part.he had a natural beautiful flowing action that complemented his style of bowling. after the change he has not been the same
I always think an action change is very risky, should be the last resort, fizz should’ve rested up, got his shoulder strong again and continued with the same action imo. If he continued to have problems then look at a change.
Thing is in a short period of time fizz would've doubled if not tripled his workload, that could've easily played a part in his injury, not necessarily just the action, he didn't have a slow increase in workload it was a big sudden leap in workload.

Injury isn't just from workload, faulty actions lead to injuries more often than work load
It's idiotic that some here would rather here want a bond, what's the point of Mustafizur being great for few years then being washed up at 26.
Hes 22, let him develop, I'd rather see him be good for few years and peak at 27/28.
The short sighted approach of our fans is beyond stupid, thank god out coaches are better now than when talha and mashrafe came through.

He could not possibly continue with his previous action let it be reduced workload or not. He needs to work on swinging more. Currently its going to be difficult to bring it in the RH with his action as his one is different than say Boult or Amir. But he can try maybe
I'm sorry but everyone here seems to be repeating some fake news regarding Fizz's action. If his action changed at all, it is way too subtle for everyone to be making a big deal about it. Have a look at Fizz from 2016 vs 2018...can anyone highlight exactly what the change in his action is?
And now from 2018:
His action is virtualy identical in both in the following ways:
- his action is front on or open chested
- his right leg flails out to the left rather awkwardly on the follow through
- his uses a lot of wrist in his delivery even when its seam up (probably how he can bowl at 140 despite his build)
- even his right arm position is identical in the two videos.
- he has a very whippy action (a bit like Tapash Baisya of old)
Fizz is bowling poorly - for example at the Champions Trophy - for two reasons. The pitches weren't supporting his cutters, and secondly he was bowling crap lines and lengths. That has nothing to do with his action...Michael holding will get tonked if he bowls short and wide on a flat pitch no matter how great is action is.
Some say Fizz is a one trick pony with his cutters. However, he has at least 2 different cutters, plus if he uses his yorker, and reverse swing (red ball) than he has enough tricks to remain a threat on most surfaces. But the #1 prerequisite is that he has to bowl the right lines and lengths.
Bad line and length is why he struggled in the Champions Trophy. Not because he can't "swing the ball". No one swung the ball until Boult and Southe swung it at Cardiff against us.

Earlier he used to put a lot of pressure on his shoulder/backbone but now he uses his right hand and puts less pressure. His action has also changed from upright pov. You will notice how his RH used to just sort of hang at the point of delivering
Hope Fizz is dropped today. Being the specialist death foreign bowler in the team he has bottled it every time MI needed him. Since the SL series, I haven't seen him bowl a proper yorker at the stumps or the wide yorkers he bowled in IPL 2016. It is simply down to low confidence and probably not practicing enough yorkers in the nets.
He just runs in and bowl these boring off cutters. Top order batsman easily play them and lately even the tail enjoy feasting on them. Its high time we give heath streak a blank cheque and give him the bowling coach job, otherwise Fizz will turn out to be a poor mans James Faulkner (minus the batting).

Do you want him dropped because you want to see him injury free for BD or because you think he is bowling poorly?
You are not watching him enough closely if you think he can be dropped for performance. He is getting to his best. It does not matter if he is going for few runs

Extremely subtle difference. His right arm is now about a foot lower at peak height than it was previously. But that could just be natural variation from delivery to delivery.
Although I'm not a biophysicist, nor even a physicist, his action now *might* be more stressful on the shoulder with his RH being lower, because now his left shoulder has to work harder than before to generate the torque of his bowling arm lever (possibly, I'm just guessing here).
Either way, the action change - if any at all - is far too subtle for a laymen to be discussing it the way we are. I'm not sure if people are just saying something because its popular or if they really understand whats going on.

its that good because of other bowlerws. His bowling is ok.. his thinking needs to improve. Maybe a better captain may help i don't know. too many suggestions. it's almost expected what the batsman gonna do towards the end.. they are moving slighly offside.. negatiing his cutters but he is going through with it anyway and not trying anything else like a faster yorker at that time...
needs to be much much smarter.
He coulld have won them atleat 3 games but failed. Lucky for him no other good over sees playrs in their team....

He could have won 1 not 3 where he dropped those catches. Other than that other games were lost not because of him.
