Default ICC Champions Trophy Match 1 The Opener: Bangladesh VS England @ London; Start time: 9:45 GMT,19:45 AEST;June 1 2017

This is it guys, our first match of the 2017 ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY. Bismillah

Squads:
BANGLADESH SQUAD: Tamim Iqbal, Somya Sarkar, Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Mehidy Hasan, Sunzamul Islam, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (c), Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam.

ENGLAND SQUAD: Eoin Morgan (c), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jake Ball, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Alex Hales, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood

Players to Watch out for

BANGLADESH
Sabbir Rahman: A canny 3rd order batsmen and a deadly 7th Order Finisher, no matter what role he players, if he clicks Bangladesh will score big and also win big

Tamim Iqbal: The glue that holds the top order together, Tamim Iqbal has certainly come of age, and stopped his dancing down the track shenanigans to provide stability to the top order.

ENGLAND

Alex Hales: Englands Dashing opener will be yearning to get a taste of the action after failing to qualify for the IPL
Eoin Morgan: Has found form at the right time for his country keep an eye on him surely.

Traditional English Recipe

Ingredients

4 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks
Kosher salt
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
Freshly ground black pepper
3 medium onions, thinly sliced (about 3 cups sliced onions)
1 bay leaf
2 1/2 tablespoons flour
2 1/2 cups store-bought or homemade low-sodium beef or chicken broth
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
8 bangers (about 2 pounds, see note above)

Directions
1.
Place potatoes in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Season well with salt. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce to a simmer, and cook until potatoes are soft, about 10 minutes. Drain and place back in saucepan, add 3 tablespoons butter and 2/3 cup milk, and mash with a potato masher, adding more milk if a looser consistency is desired. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep warm.

2.
Heat remaining 3 tablespoons butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until melted. Add onions and bay leaf and cook, stirring often, until onions are brown, about 15 minutes.

3.
Sprinkle with flour and mix until flour is evenly incorporated with onions. Stirring constantly, slowly pour stock over onion mixture. Bring to a simmer over high heat, stirring often, then lower heat to medium and cook until thickened, about 6 minutes. Remove and discard bay leaf. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and keep warm.

4.
Heat vegetable oil in a large stainless steel skillet over medium high heat until shimmering. Reduce heat to medium-low. Place bangers in the skillet and cook until browned on one side, about 5 minutes; flip bangers and cover. Cook until bangers are fully cooked, about 6 minutes longer.

5.
Divide mash between 4 plates, place 2 bangers on each pile of mash, and top with onion gravy. Serve with brown ale and extra gravy and strong mustard passed alongside.

Bangladesh need to win the toss. England have been piling on runs while batting first, at home with very aggressive style. So maybe batting first setting them a target won't be a bad idea but depending on conditions early on, if overcast bowl first.

Good luck team BD

My XI.
Tamim
Sarkar
Kayes
Mushy (wkt)
Shakib
Sabbir
Mahmudullah
Mortaza (cpt)
Rubel
Taskin
Fizz

I won't be here for that game, as I will be going to that game with more than a dozen people. Hope we do win because they are the toughest team in the group, and beating them will make them favourites to actually beat Australia next. Then again, I'm not either bothered if we lose, as I'm also England born, so I win either way

This will be my XI: Tamim, Sarker, Shabbir, Mushfiqur, Shakib, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek, Miraz, Mashrafe, Rubel and Fizz.

Mashrafe must bowl all his overs before the 40th. I would like to see Sarker bowling 1-2 overs down the line somewhere. Rubel and Fizz need to bowl 8 of the last 10.

Will be there too InshahAllah. Worried about where to pray. Oval declined to provide any prayer space.

I went to a game last CT at the oval, pak v WI. Many Pakistanis prayed inside near the gates to get into the blocks, u know where people go into to get snacks etc.

If it was lords would have been easy to go to Regent's Park mosque, not sure if any nearby mosques to the oval.

Where will u be sitting bro?

England has a majority righties side so I see no reason to play Miraz. Riyad-Mosa can bowl a few overs.

My side,
Tamim
Imrul
Shabbir
Mushy
Shakib
Riyad
Mosaddek
Mash
Sanjamul
Rubel
Fizz

lets do this

Bedser stand as far as I remember.

Apparently the Oval reserved a praying area in previous events but the stand has been booked sadly.

The Oval people suggested Brixton is the closest, but thats quite a treck.

I know the areas you are referring to, but lets see. InshahAllah I hope its ok for us all to pray. As I will have my bros with me, we will take turns to pray while guarding each other. Dont want to end up viral on twitter

I just want to take a photo of the BD fan with the huge Afro. I heard he might be coming

As the resident England fan here I can tell you with quite a bit of certainty that the team you'll be coming up against tomorrow will be :

Hales
Roy
Root
Morgan
Stokes
Buttler
Ali
Woakes
Rashid
Plunkett
Wood

At least fight tooth and nail and let them know that sub continental teams are not pushovers anymore in English conditions and please don't make me eat humble pies.

dont worry guys we will bounce back. we lost to ireland in the warmup match before world cup 2015 and look how well we did there. we were 58 all out against windies in 2011 world cup before we played england and beat them. we lost to ireland in the 2007 world cup before we beat south africa.

we are going to bounce back im telling you!
