Problem is we have nothing to show for that when SL has one win in CT17 to show while they were murdered in the rest

To compare two sides all you have to see is who the 12th man is.
Indias 12th man is Shami and our 12th man is Jayed.

India's problem with the no 4 batsman remain. I don't think it is Pant, Pandya, Dhoni, Jadhav etc. Will hold my nose and go for Karthik. It was a mistake not to select Rayudu

But on the brighter side, we can say we have at least defeated one team above us in the points table

At this venue every team that batted first has won. Aus may be able to break this trend only because they're much better than SA at the moment but I'd still put my money on SA just because they won the toss.
Toss has definitely given blatant unfair advantage to teams batting first. What surprises me is how no one talks about it. It is as if pointing the obvious is a taboo.

No, he was definitely not the solution for India's no. 4. Read:

To be fair, Rishabh Pant is a tremendous talent for India. He is worth persisting for the long haul. yes, Rayudu missing out was indeed a big mistake. Selection of Vijay Shankar was baffling to be honest when you already have Jadeja, H. Pandya to complete the additional bowler slot.

Agree. Atleast you people can diss Bangladeshi selectors openly. Here BCCI is a law unto itself and doesn't even obey the Supreme Court panel on recommendations.

Every big team has players who can take the game away from opposition alone. India has Rohit and Kohli. Australia has Warner and Smith. England has Root and Butler.

We have Tamim and Soumya

Rayudu is not the right one for no 4, at least his numbers are shaky but I agree that Pant is a tremendous talent. His batting against BD showed the glimpse of Suresh Raina. But he needs to be more serious and consistent than Raina.

loss to Pakistan not a by a small margin but a pretty big margin too is the culprit.
