Default Mashrafe injured: plans to play through the pain

Mashrafe has suffered a hamstring strain during the second warm -up match. He still plans to play the opener, but this is a terribly bad news for Bangladesh. We need him on the field. Losing Mash to injury is the last thing we need.

Every match is important. However, he sustaining through the entire tournament is more important than the first few games. We have a game in three days against SA. in six days against NZ. Both very important games. Then the third against England in nine days. 12 days we play SL then a break for 6 days. I hope and pray he don't aggravate to a worse injury.

I just realized that the hardest games are in the begining. If we can win one of this games here, would help boost our confidence up! He should perhaps take the SA game off and come back for the NZ game.

I was so against the idea of Mash, Shak and Fizz playing the Ireland series. That unnecessary tournament took a toll on Mash's fragile body. Now he will play thru pain and most likely he will be missing few crucial world cup matches. Fizz is still not fully fit. Dont know why the management took such idiotic decision by letting Mash play the entire Ire tournament.

Hope Mash gets better soon

It's just stupidity after stupidity from the management , they also let Shakib bat for long time in that dead rubber against Ireland and made him injured when they could have pushed someone else up who needed some batting practice.

They should have left out mashrafe or at least let him bowl 1 or 2 overs at max in this useless warm up we had lot of other pacers. They could have made Jayed bowl at the beginning instead of Mashrafe to see how he is with new ball as well.

How do we know if Team Management made them play or players themselves wanted to play?

Our players are known to be emotional and stubborn when it comes to these things. Players themselves should know if they are capable or not.

Tamim Iqbal set to miss the first match against SA. Saifuddin is also in doubt.

Where are you seeing that?

Going to need Liton to step up if that is the case

Let's hope that Tamim and Mash's injury are not serious to say the least.

I am hoping it is nothing serious. We need Mash and his captaincy if we want to win the game against SA. His loss will be a big blow.

Mash should sit out this game and give his injury time to heal
