Isn't it injustice to give South America so few places in terms of talent and skills???

Definitely. Although South America doesn't have as many countries as Europe does, it has quality in every team except Venezuela and the Guyana(s) perhaps. Even Surinam can have a great team if their best didn't opt to play for Holland. I'd rather see one more SA side than bad Euro sides like Belgium or Switzerland.

Concacaf or the Central America gets one too many spots, imo.
6 teams should have max 2.5.
You gotta thank Frank Lowe for taking Aussie soccer to new heights.
Joining the Asian Federation was probably the best thing happened to their soccer in million years.
The team that was always the last to fight for qualification now qualified as one of the first teams.
Plus being in the company of some competitive opponents also helps to raise the bar for them.
After all, no point beating Tuvalu 33-0 and then not qualifying.

Europe has also get few more places which they actually deserve thanks to their strong political influence within FIFA. Apart from some European countries rest of are playing very boring football to watch. Most of them retain a certain level but missing creativity but will nevertheless proceed to the finals stage.

I just cannot believe Argentina having such trouble time with Coach Maradona.
THey have two matches left and both are must win. Probably Peru will be an easy ride but arch rival Uruguay will not give them an easy ticket.
In case they end up fifth they will have to wait for Carribean fourth placed team and go for a decider with them. All those Maradona fans had to see this after so many hypes.

In the Words of Diego about the playoff, "They did it in 94 and no one died ". There Lucky CONCACAF has gained a little seperation and the US and Mexico are breaking away. Costa Rica looked destined for 4th after starting out red hot.
If they qualify and trust they will qualify ... No team in the wrold wants to face Argentina.

I am not really worried either that they won't qualify. Nobody wants to see it, but also nobody wants to see the best of the two of Latin America to infringe in as an underdog!
It is the difficulty they are having to march atop along with Brazil, the net effect is with such classy players coach Maradona's reliability and effectivity of his training has come into question as his once demigod figure is rapidly depleting among Argentine fans so as to fans in other nations.

Well with the word "SINCE"
South Korea
Spain
Italy
Germany
Brazil
Argentina
All qualified for the world cups.
Belgium just missed 2006, England 94, Holland 02, Mexico 90 (because the were disqualified for having overaged player in a previous Youth Tournament), USA 86, Russia 98 and 06.
