Let's hope the team carries the winning momentum from the odis & the t20 and give them a fight. Without Mashrafee the team doesn't look stronger though. Having Nasir in the middle order could have made the batting lineup stronger. I feel sarkar should not have been picked for the test matches as he struggles against the short piched bowling but I guess they didn't have anyone better to pick

Bowling is the concern. Spinners are okay but fast bowling is weak. Let's see.

Their batting looks ominous. Our bowling looks weak.

Need to play to beat Pakistan

The pitch will be dead flat, batting will be the key. 5 specialist Batsman, 4 specialist bowler and 2 genuine All rounder (Shakib and Mushfique). I have seen one interview of Farook in Jamuna TV and seems shahadat is playing in first test. He also can play few shots.

Misbah and Younis will offer resistance but they are no Sanga. Younis looked out of touch in WC and Misbah will retire soon. Besides that they're the same team from ODI. Is our bowling good enough to take 20 wickets though? No. We need to grind hard and take it as deep as possible.

Pakistani batsmen in ODI failed to accelerate. However, in Test they can sit back and score much runs as they want that and also as slowly as they want.

However, Its a fact that Pakistani batsmen would find it difficult especially against Shakib and Taijul.

Why our bowling is weak? Because we intensionally pick weak player like shahadat to make it weak.

What are Younis' and Misbah's Test averages from the past couple of years? Have they deteriorated any due to age/form?

Two subpar bowling attacks. I think one draw out of the two games is a good possibility.

Younis went Bradman against Aus and NZ in UAE right before the WC, and Misbah scored the fastest century lol

Pakistan plays exceptionally well for some reason in UAE.

Khulna pitch, generally speaking is very very light looking, not that dark looking like Dhaka Mirpur pitch. So, the pitch is usually good for batting with a little something for the spinners, especially from day 4 onwards. This is my observation based on the past test matches Bangladesh played in Khulna.

With all these crazy good fast bowlers coming in, they go with Sahadat. I totally forgot that he still existed in international cricket.

We need to win the Toss and bat big. Give Pakistan a fourth innings target of 300 + and then mesmerise them with our spin. That's how we went about business last time we played in Khulna.
