Default Best combination of coaches ever

This is the best combination of coaches for BD ever. Domingo, Charl L, Vettori and Mckenzie. Killer!

Surprised Vettori is not getting more air time. The dude's a legend who has embraced Bahaii....and doing acid... listening to Beatles while Shafiul bowls. I kid.

Agree. Papon did a good job with this one.

If the coaches get their fair share of unwarranted tidings and blessings, they must sure get their share of blame too.

The fact of the matter is - be it Siddons, Walsh, Domingo, Law, or whoever... - is not some crazy whacko Herb Brooks from the movie Miracle (2004) where they literally obsess and envision about taking a bunch of morons and converting to a straight A batch of race horses.

They can care less and give a damn. They just trundle in to clock another 9 to 5 hour shift, with a blase response to life, with no life in themselves. You can tell by their body language on the sidelines.

It's not as if they crazily wonder around the stadium with notepads like Einstein scrawling equations and can't sleep unless their team has superman ethos. They don't give a f. The fact of the matter is with enough discipline, coaching, tenacity and hard work any bunch of morons can be converted into race horses.

Methinks, sometimes forum members are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too gracious in giving coaches and others compliments when they should deserve ZERO merit.

^umm... don't know about the others but as far as I remember Siddons actually cared. He used to go watch the first class matches, didn't take too many holidays, was very hands on with the players. He is tge one who worked on players averages and even now Mash admits that the coaches after Siddons just achieved success based on the foundation Siddons laid with his work. In fact I remember him standing around the boundary lines instead of sitting in the dugout and even remember him slapping his knee in frustration a number of times. Yes he wasn't tactically very astute but he gave a damn and focused on nurturing. A Siddons and Law/Haturu combo would probably have been good. I also think the previous British coach was also pretty good.

Jamie Siddons was the best coach Bangladesh have had so far.

Had it not been for him, the Tamims, Shakibs and Mushfiqs wouldn't have been honed and would have been lost to the wilderness like every other Bangladeshi player before and after.

Even the likes of Imrul Kayes have stuck around on the back of whatever grounding Siddons laid for him.
Don't be mean, now.
