I guess we'll have to see if Shakib can redeem himself with the bat in the 2nd innings :p

How do we have to structure our batting innings? Who do you think will have to take the lead?

Why did 5 of our batsmen only add around 20 runs today ?
Should have at least made 100 !

Riad should bat at 3 Shakib at 6/7, mominul at 4/5. Also, Sabbir and Miraz needs to step up, as does mominul.

I think we still played well but we don't have much of a chance to win

We need to take the two wickets first, Rashid and Woakes can make us a suffer for a long time, and Batty can frustrate us too. Probably a win is too much too ask, and if they get out in the first hour or declare in the second [even its the second session], it will be impossible to draw by looking to survive. We have to press for a win, and bat positively even if it means getting all out under a hundred.

We have all the time in the world to chase 300ish total.

But we don't have the batting to chase it. Actually no team in the world would be confident.

But we should try and lose like heroes. Not meek surrender

We have probably let the game slip away by losing the last five batsman cheaply without adding much to the score, we should have had a first innings lead given the way the top order batted. Hope we can still win though by chasing whatever target we get..

Good luck, whatever the result maybe just don't wanna see any more collapse, already seen too many lately

we messed up with lower order batting today .. shame ..

Plan I think should be if we can get the next two batsman within 10 to 15 runs ..

Then let tamim momim mushfiq and mahmudullah play their natural test match ...

And let sabbir shak kayes play aggressive batting ..specially the first two ....

And pray we can get as close as possible .. we need sabbir quickfire 60 tomorrow rather than super slow 20.

Yah... need to be positive... but mix aggression with caution... as the ball gets older reverse swing will make it really hard it to be played... best overs to bat should be between 20-40 when the ball gets a bit old but not too old... the new ball will grip and turn like hell so mix caution in the start of the innings and then in the middle really capitalize with wickets in hand... if we can take 100 from 20-40 then there is a real chance of us winning...

I thought he bowled well given that the pitch wasn't offering much to the fast bowlers and he was on debut. He bowled with bit of pace and troubled the batsman a bit when the ball started to reverse swing, need to hit on a good line and length consistently though to be successful, especially when playing on these kinda surfaces
