That usually is the procedure. Of course, special talents are always an exception.

Just a quick reminder for the would be LKD fans: he hasn't won us any U19 cricket matches singlehandedly including two World Cups. He got starts and then got out. Where Anamul was the highest run scorer at the U19 CWC down under and then got couple of ODI centuries and still struggling finding his feet in top flight. Its not easy there.

not sure what soumya darker did in recent times.
The four players I would like to see in 4th and 5th ODI (if we win the 3rd one) are -

1) Nasir Hussain
2) Naeem Islam
3) Saumma Sarkar
4) Taskin Ahmed

Imrul Kayes should get a game or two in the playing eleven for the last two ODIs..

As per Prothom Alo, there is a possibility Jubair may be handed his ODI debut today, at expense of Rubel.

this is the only series before world cup and we are planing to introduce debutants?
poor idea,
if we win tomorrow we should find a way out to bring NAsir in, him in form will be vital for the team.
And better drop Rubel for tomorrow's game and give Jubair a chance.

BTW, in his return from injury, Abdur Razzak scored 34 (in 17 balls) and took 4 wickets (for 16 runs), and led his team (Kalabagan) in a comprehensive win against Old DOHS. He is not making it easy to just forget him

yes !!!!!! This is the time to find out what to do with Jubair.

We already know enough of Rubel. Same with Nasir, we already know what Nasir can give us when he is in top form and what he cannot give when he is not in form. There is no point to bring him back soo quickly. If he can show enough in local league, he can still be selected directly into the team at the last moment... its upto him how much he really wants to come back....giving free ride was not helping him or the team... no point to go in the same rout again. Some of his comments gave me the impression that he believes that he earned the previledge to get more free ride, which cannot be good mentality for a talented but still not accomplished enough young player.

When asked whether they are sticking with the same plan of action, Mashrafee indicated that it will depend on the dew factor.

‘In Chittagong during the second match there were dews which made it difficult for the spinners to grip the ball and as a result we have to complete the middle overs by shuffling Rubel [Hossain] and Al-Amin [Hossain]

Tigers rested Al-Amin for the third ODI and according to sources Shafiul Islam is likely to replace him for today’s game.

Jubair Hussan, our 19-year old test cricketer, should not play any of the ODIs against Zimbabwe which may do more harm than good for his career. Prior to the recently concluded test series Jubair Hussain played his only FC matches for Bangladesh-A team against Zimbabwe-A team where he did reasonably good. Hence, he got his call up for the test series. But his List-A match record is nothing to write home about. Moreover, in limited overs we hardly afford naturally expensive leg spinner in our team as our team fail to pile up runs even against mediocre teams.

I would like Jubair to play two more seasons of List-A matches in domestic circuit in order to have better control of his line and length. However, his bowling is absolutely necessary in the TEST matches due to his wide array of variations - stock leg spin, googly, flipper etc. But sometimes he lacked control during the test matches which would be rectified by bowling more in FC matches - not in 50 over one-day matches.

Sometimes we, the fans worry too much.

Jubair was selected from no where (with NO significant FC matches) for reason. Coach Haturu saw something special in him to make him ask for Jubair in the team. Eventually Selector selected him in ZIM series (ignoring WI series)... Jubair got the chance and as a rookie he played excellent in TEST. Was it purely "Jhore bok pore" luck? I doubt it, Haturu saw enough talent, maturity and promise to ask for this unconventional request even knowing that he is raw and inexperienced.

What we know next? After successfully passing the challenge, the selectors rewarded him by selecting in the ODI team. Do you think the selectors did that just so that he can be the water boy? I doubt it... They want him to see if he can pass the 2nd challenge.

If he fail, no harm done, he is still young. but if he pass, that will give the team more variety and more weapon for WC.

You cannot use the same cookie-cutter method for all the rookies... some rookies need more time to mature, some can shine under more challenge....these type of players need to be fast tracked.

Looks like Haturu Daa wants him and looks like selectors want to see how he can handle the challenge.... and I am 100% behind them. I also want to see what he can do in ODI in home field against weaker team.

btw our MoM gives 17 runs in one over, our FBs gives 32 runs in 3 overs... I doubt it that Jubair would be that much expensive.

I'm sure Nasir will get chance from 4th odi. But today we have to seal the series. Then there is lot's of variety we can play with.

Dead rubbers against zim in home conditions are a good place to introduce new talents, doesn't mean they become a permanent fixture in the team just yet and/or don't go on A team series.
