^Not sure, most likely it does not.

But the importance of the tournament is manifolds, it will pave the way for some new T20 talents who could find room in one of the BPL franchise. And if we are lucky and selectors are lenient we may find 2/3 genuine T20 specialists ready for the upcoming World Cup (off-course miles better than Mehedi Maruf type hopefully).
