Default Kevin Pietersen left fuming after Bangladeshi daily mistakes him as a match-fixer

Oh Dear!!

Are all tabloids in Bangladesh are like this? I used to think Prothom Aloo was the only one.

At least they apologized to KP24 via twitter of a mistaken photo (of KP's) in a story about fixing-tainted former South African batsman Alviro Petersen.

Once a blue moon, mistakes happens. They are humans. But not as worse as Indian news channels, media, tabloids on bombarding, bad mouthing others and twisting things daily. Premature, insecure, pathetic, of the highest order.

As if it's an ones a thousands years mistake lol..many renowned news papers too has made some printed blunders before.

It's better than making news of what certain foreign 'fan' wrote in Fb 'troll' page. Or making stupid headlines of what unknown foreign graphic design page photoshoped a certain Indian cricketers pic.(Also it was a deleted pic), behaving as if their own country fellowmen are saints.

lol at people justifying this.

No.1 just because people make mistakes doesn't mean that mistakes should go unaccounted for.

2. This isn't a tiny mistake, this is a gigantic mistake. Putting the wrong damn photo next to a matchfixing article is mindboggling stupid, especially when it was Peterson charged, not Pieterson. So you can't even use the excuse of them having the exact same surname.

3. This would've done serious damage to his reputation. Lots of people merely read headlines and skim articles, and they'd associate that photo with fixing.

4. A mistake this massive would've had to get through several people to happen. 1. The guy who found the photo and used it. 2. the editor and anybody else who is supposed to review these things.

Its incredibly bad journalism.

We're normalizing a silly mistake by a paper I don't know..../

This would have been something big if it was in the English and/or South African media.../

And BD's journalists need to do their research before publishing a picture of a guy who's well known in international cricket...

Spelling mistakes should be priority for the Editor!

I think it was done on purpose. I don't think the Bangladeshi tabloids get how "clickbait" works. They went a step further and made it real.
